Taehyung's POV

I can't believe what I just heard... Brooklyn's parents died and although I am glad to be at her side during this time, I can't deal with the pain. They were like family to me, considering I grew up with them all and now, they're gone. I grabbed Brooklyn and hugged her with all my might, while sobbing as well. Hoseok stands there and looks apologetic and comes to comfort us both. How ironic that we were just fighting and now we're like best friends, all comforting each other. The cops leave after trying to get Brooklyn to calm down and discussed where her parents will be at, their bodies anyway.

Brooklyn continues to cry and the color has drained from her face, while tears stain her cheeks. I hate to see her like this, and I'm willing to skip school the next day just to be with her.  After a while, the oven beeps for the pizza and Hoseok goes to get it out. Brooklyn doesn't stand up or anything. She doesn't want to eat and she's practically glued to the floor, which is understandable. I mean, she just lost her parents. She hardly saw them as it is and now they're gone forever.

I go to pick her up and she doesn't fight back, she's limp and let's me carry her to her room. There, I place her on her bed and comb her hair behind her ear. "Hey, Brooklyn," I mutter. She doesn't look at me or anything, she's just staring at the empty wall. "It's okay, um. I'm here for you and... so is Hoseok, so it's okay. We will stay here with you if you want," I continue on. Slowly, she turns her head toward me. "Is it really okay? I just lost my parents! They're gone, forever. And now I'm stuck in this stupid house. Oh God, what am I going to do? The house is all paid for but... there's still utilities and I'm going to need food and-" She stops speaking and just cries. Hoseok hears her cry for help and peeks his head through the door. "Uh, I can pay for the utilities. I have a job, don't worry! Taehyung and I can help out, really. It's no big deal," he shyly expresses. Finally some emotion from her, she pokes her head up and whimpers, "Really? You mean it? I mean, I feel bad if you guys help out... Hoseok basically just met me recently and Taehyung, you've been my best friend for forever but I can't accept this. I feel like I owe you guys and-" Again, she's cut off but this time by Hoseok. "Really, it is okay. I have an amazing job and even if I am away from you, I'll send money to you or even just pay it off myself. Don't worry your pretty little face! It's going to be okay, so just cheer up!" Geez, he knows all the right things to say... but I wonder what he does for work to be able to afford this?

Hoseok's POV

Lord, how am I going to be able to afford this? I know that I just started this whole idol business and all, but I'm not making that much income... I'll just have to ration my money? I don't know, maybe the others can help? All I know is I hope we debut soon...

Brooklyn's POV

Hoseok and Taehyung are so sweet and I just don't know what to do about them. I lost my parents and they're still willing to be here with me. Most guys would take this as a bad thing and run but they're both still here? I don't understand, but I'm most definitely not complaining. All I know is I need them both here if I'm going to keep my sanity. They are my rocks and I'm forever grateful for it.

Two weeks later- Narrator's POV

Brooklyn's parent's funeral was three days after their death and everyone went, even Hoseok. After the funeral, Hoseok had to fly back to go to work but he promised that he would come back soon to be with Brooklyn. She understood and was even happy that Hoseok was in her life, so the sadness was calmed for a good while. Although she is still saddened by her parent's death, she understands that it's inevitable and has no choice but to move on. She has two amazing boys in her life and couldn't be any happier now that they're both with her, well kind of.

"Hey Taehyung, can you get this for me," Brooklyn shouts from the kitchen. Taehyung runs to her side and grabs the cabinet doors to reach a mixing bowl for her. "Thanks," she exclaims. He grins ear to ear and grabs her face. "Brooklyn, I really want to kiss you but I don't want to upset you so I won't," he states. Shaking her head back and forth, laughing, she tells him that he wishes he could be with her and gets away from his grip, playfully. Slightly bummed out, he grabs some flour and throws it in Brooklyn's direction. "Hey," she yells at him, "Now you have to clean this up," she giggles and she grabs some of the icing and slings it at his face. Once it lands on his face, he walks towards Brooklyn and uses his hands to take it off of his face and onto hers. They continue this little kitchen war before they finally tire out and call it a day.

Maybe Brooklyn's life isn't that bad after all?
