Brooklyn's POV

4:50pm EST/ 6:50am KST
Hoseok enters the chatroom

Hoseok: hey, do you possibly want to FaceTime? I mean... I don't have to go into work yet and I'm sure that talking to someone else will help?

Brooklyn: oh, yea. I guess? But wait. I look eh right now so... hold on.

Hoseok: I'm sure you always look pretty! But okay, I'll wait.(:

5:00pm EST/ 7:00am KST

"Hoseok would like to FaceTime. Yes or no?"

Hesitantly, I press my index finger to "Yes". As I quickly fix my hair, a cheerful boy pops up. The same one I have seen from the previous photos. He's more cheerful over the phone. "Hi," I croak. He raises his left hand and waves it enthusiastically. "Hello! It's nice to finally chat with you, Brooklyn," he beams. I couldn't help but smile at his words. Nodding, I say, "yeah, you too! You're a lot more," I pause, "ecstatic than over the chat." Nonchalantly, he shrugs his shoulders and proceeds to say, "of course! I'm your hope, I'm your angel!" Cocking my head to the side, a bit confused, I proceed to ask him what that means. "Oh uhm. I can't answer that question yet but when the time comes, you'll be the first one! And I was thinking... do you possibly want to meet up? Before I get too busy," he asks, hopeful. "Will you be able to? I'm sure the plane ticket costs a lot of money. So you'll be able to afford that," I ask. In a monotone voice, he says, "yeah! That sounds fun. I'll see you soon, yeah?" As soon as he finishes his sentence, I hear two knocks on my bedroom door and a familiar face appears. "Hey, I have to go, sorry," I say towards Hoseok. Click.

"Taehyung?! What are you doing here? I didn't hear you," I say with a barely audible whisper. "Yeah. I knocked on the front door and even tried calling you. You didn't hear that," he booms. I lie through my teeth, "No... and plus I was busy with homework." Instantaneously, he yells, "Homework? FaceTiming a guy is homework?! What the hell, Brooklyn?" By now, I was getting pretty mad, and couldn't control what came out of my mouth next. "Why are you getting so mad! Don't you have Scarlett to be messing with?" I guess what I said was pretty even, but what he said next shocked me, and even made me emotional.

"No because I don't even like her! I like you, for fucks sake. Couldn't you tell? I've liked you for such a long time now and you couldn't tell? Are you that blind," he questioned as his voice went out. He did? Why was I so oblivious to it? Deciding to break the silence, I mutter, "I- I like you too... but now that you say that. Just leave. Please." Shit. Tears were forming in my eyes and there's no way to stop them. He nods his head, taking his stuff, and stalks out the front door.

What am I going to do now that Taehyung has confessed his feelings towards me? Hoseok is coming in two weeks to visit and I'm kind of starting to like him now... it's just. Tae took too long to tell me his true feelings. I figured that just liked me as his best friend and-

There's something in the corner of my eye. It looks like... Taehyung? "Hey," I call out into the empty air. "Is that you? If you're there-" I'm cut off as Tae embraces me, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. With tears streaming down his face, his words are muffled on my clothing. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I should've told you sooner, but you're probably already talking to someone else." After a good two minutes, he lets go and wipes his eyes. Extending his arm, he hands me the bouquet and goes on his way. I wanted to call out his name, but my voice just wasn't cooperating. As soon as I thought to run after him, he was sitting in his car, tears still streaming down his face. Mian, he mouths, yet I couldn't hear a thing.

The next day at school, I try and find Taehyung. He didn't show up to any of his classes and I begin to worry. After looking throughout the whole school, I realized that I forgot one room, the music room. Slowly reaching for the door, I barely push it open and there he is. He's on the floor with his headphones situated in his ears. I guess that he can't hear a thing due to the volume of his music. Silently creeping out of the room, I feel it's best to leave him alone. I don't want to further upset him. Sighing, I walk to my friend's car and decide to go straight home. She invited me out to eat, but today wasn't the day.
