"...Wh-What!? I'M Grima? I'M the fell dragon!?"

"The Grimleal have worked for generations to create someone like you; A vessel worthy for our master. Simply having Grima's blood in your veins is not enough..."

"N-No..."

"Don't let him shake you, Robin. Stand firm."

"If you're damnable mother hadn't been seized by weakness and fear-"

"Don't you dare mention her! Who knows what you did to her... used her to get to me? Betrayed her!?"

"She betrayed us! Stole you and your sister from her crib, and fled with you in the night!"

"...What?"

"Oh my, I just said something I wasn't supposed to-"

"Enough with the lies! ...What did you say!?"

"...Does that make you angry, my boy? Knowing that there was more to your- our family than your cowardly mother? She was useless anyway."

"TELL ME, VALIDAR!"

"If you really want to see your family again, come at me with everything you say yourself to be. There is no damage I can do your body that the fell dragon cannot repair!"

"Now, Robin! This is our chance! I'm going to finish it!"

The words of the divine dragon replayed back into the tactician's mind, but so did the words of his supposed father, Validar. Robin knew that the right thing to do was to end the fell dragon himself, and end the impending doom for good so it may never again threaten humanity again.

But... how could he? With the new information that he had learned from Validar, that he has a mother and younger sister somewhere else in the world, it filled him with a sensation that he may be able to recover his lost past, to recover his missing family that, he could only imagine, loved him so.

Not knowing what to do, Robin took several steps back away from his evil doppelganger, giving Chrom all the space he needed to send Grima back to slumber. It was not the choice he had hoped he would choose, for he thought himself to be selfish; putting his wants above society's needs. But he refused to let, possibly, his only chance to find himself slip through his fingers.

The Exalted Falchion pierced through the weak humanised form of the fell dragon, Robin's mirrored self, and began to fade from sight. Content with the outcome, that the war had finally ended, the prince smiled to himself. "He's... he's finished. We did it! And without sacrificing the life of another friend! Can you believe it, Robin?"

Unable to find the words to express how he truly felt, Robin remained silent, not feeling the same relief as his friend did in that moment. Of course Robin was happy to still be breathing at that moment, but he knew he could've done so much if chose to sacrifice himself for the world. After all, what was one life against millions?

"Grima has returned to slumber," the divine dragon, Naga, said in way almost sounding as if she herself was hoping for a different outcome, rather than Grima to have simply returned to his trapped state of rest.

Robin took the liberty in stepping away from the scene of Chrom's victory speech, as well as everyone else's celebratory cheer. The white-haired tactician gazed out over a cliff that overlooked the entire land, as well as Grima's skeletal form lying on the ground once more.

"Still feeling guilty, Robin?"

"Huh? Oh... Hello, Chrom." Not expecting to be met in Chrom's presence again so soon, Robin replied slowly as the thoughts and feelings continued to envelope his mind.
