The ABC of Life

Memories

So I sat down the other day
And asked life what completed her
She smiled wide
And flipped through the pages of my story
Paused
And pointed at moments captured in the
Frame of time
And as I stared..
"These", she continued
"These complete me
These that will remain forever
In your thoughts
And will make you smile every time you recall
The better parts,
The ones you will preserve
for as long as you live
The memories that you will keep, child
The memories you will adore,
Will complete me.
I'm all about making them"
And as I leaned back
And watched the sun setting in
I sighed as I knew
That I'd found a reason to live
I had pages to fill
And memories to make..
