rushing, rushing.

rushing, as adrenaline pumped throughout her body whilst pushing the gas of her car harder. she had to go faster.

"i'm so sorry," she cries. "i'm so sorry."

all she could keep on telling herself, faster. faster. and she kept on going. the speed limit was long passed.

"how could i do this?" she yells, trying to go faster. "i'm so sorry, sammy. i'm so sorry."

she continues to accelerate, almost losing complete control of the car that she never used. all she kept on telling herself was 'faster, faster.'

there were barely any people driving at that time of the night, only a few, however. and cops would usually patrol the area. they weren't the problem; she didn't care. she was running out of time.

'faster, faster.'

"how could you do this to me, anna? i thought you loved me, i thought you said you would never forget." sammy's voice echoed throughout her head, and she cried more. turning her head and seeing him sit in the passenger's seat. he looked back at her with tear-stained cheeks, trying to produce a smile.

"you promised you wouldn't forget about me, anna-marie! why? why did you forget?" he cries out. "you said you loved me!"

"i'm sorry!" she shouts, crying harder and harder.

'faster'.

"i loved you, anna-marie. all i ever wanted was for you to be happy. and love me back." she looked back over to her passenger's seat, as sammy stared at her blankly. blood dripping out from his nose.

she hears the siren of a police car shortly after, and nothing but silence after that.

pure, silence.
