Enemy of my enemy is my friend

"Neh, Asano." Karma popped up behind Gakushuu out of no where.

"What do you want now, Akabane?" Gakushuu sighed, tired of the constant pestering of his rival. He was merely walking home from a tiring day at school and Karma always finds this as the perfect time to 'talk' to Gakushuu.

"You know that saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" Karma grinned as Gakushuu raised an eyebrow at him.

"If you're thinking of asking me who my enemies are, so you can form an alliance, then of course I won't say anything" Gakushuu stated.

"I was thinking more of making an alliance with you" Karma said in a matter of factly tone.

"Why would I do that?" Gakushuu scoffed as they turned the corner, nearing Gakushuu's house.

"Because one of my enemies is Principal Asano. And he's one of your enemies too." Karma smiled innocently, as if what he said made perfect sense.

"And so?" Gakushuu asked, going up to the door of his house with Karma following behind him. He opens the door as Karma finishes his explanation.

"So the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Therefore, you're my friend!" Karma placed his hands on his hips as if he had just won the argument. Gakushuu stared at him for a while and blinked a few times before answering.

"I'd sooner be friends with my father than be friends with you, Akabane." Gakushuu simply replied, closing the door on Karma's pouting face.

Birthday Cake

"Akabane, what the hell is going on?" Gakushuu asked in irritation as Karma blindfolded him. They were on one of the tables in the park, after Karma had kept asking Gakushuu to meet up with him over the Christmas break. And when Gakushuu finally agreed, Karma was more than glad since he agreed on meeting up on January 1.

"Just trust me! I have something for you" Karma grinned, fully knowing that Gakushuu won't actually trust him. They've been rivals for years now and have formed a weird friendship along the way.

"No peeking!" Karma said as Gakushuu could make out the silhouette of Karma placing something down on the table in front of him.

"Alright! You can remove the blindfold" Karma said and Gakushuu does as he was told.

There, in front of him, was a birthday cake. It wasn't just any ordinary cake either. It was his favourite flavour of cheesecake with the words 'Happy Birthday!' written with icing on top.

Gakushuu could feel a blush crawl on his cheeks. He always thought of Karma as either a rival or as an annoying pest. And never would he have thought that Karma would do such a thing for him. Gakushuu bit his lip as he thought that maybe he was wrong all this time about Karma. Maybe they were more than rivals, maybe he wasn't just an annoyance, maybe they could become friends; or even more.

But Gakushuu's train of thought was quickly interrupted when Karma yelled "Happy birthday, Asano-kun!"

... And proceeded to push Gakushuu's head forward, effectively smashing his face onto the cake. Karma then laughed as he ran away, while a mad Gakushuu with cheesecake on his face ran after him.

Yeahp. They were definitely just rivals.

Uniform

*takes place in season 2 episode 21*

"Father. What were you doing at the 3-E's mountain at the night of Valentine's?" Gakushuu asked just as he was about to leave his father's office.

"Hm? Did the driver tell you I had gone there?" Asano asked back as Gakushuu shrugged.

"It's not any of your business, Asano-kun. Now go on and have your lunch break." Asano quickly dismissed Gakushuu, much to his annoyance.

"Fine. If he won't tell me, I'll just have to find out myself..." Gakushuu mumbled to himself as he went off to the mountains of 3-E.

As he was growing closer, he could lightly hear the ruckus coming from the building. He frowned as he attempted to sneak a peek. He could see the students dressed up in all sorts of weird costumes and Gakushuu prepared to go out of his hiding spot to tell everyone off for not having their uniforms on. He took a few steps towards the class but then stopped when he saw what he assumed to be their teacher in a yellow octopus costume. Since all the students were wearing costumes, and that yellow-octopus-costume-wearing guy was going around taking pictures with the students, he had no trouble deducing that he was indeed their teacher.

"Hmm~? Asano? What're you doing here?"

Even if the owner of the voice was behind him, Gakushuu had no trouble figuring out whose voice it belonged to. Gakushuu immediately had a frown on his face and was ready to scold Karma about how his class was not in uniform, but stopped when he turned around.

There, standing before him, was Karma Akabane with his shirt dangling from his arms, showing off his bare chest and toned abs; with a cowboy hat for some reason. Gakushuu's eyes widened in surprise and his cheeks became as red as Karma's hair. Not to mention how his blood probably rushed to his face so fast that it popped a vein, causing him to have a nosebleed.

"A-Akabane! W-What're you..!" was all Gakushuu could manage to stutter out as he had to cover half his face with one of his hands to hide the nosebleed. His other hand pointed his finger at Karma's naked chest as Karma raised an eyebrow at him.

"What's wrong, Asano? Does the main campus's 3-A class have such fancy locker rooms to the point that you've never seen another guy half naked before?" Karma smirked as he stepped closer to Gakushuu.

"S-Shut up, A-Akabane!" Gakushuu huffed out as he took a step back and added "Wear your uniform properly or I'll have to report you!" Gakushuu yelled then turned his back from Karma and stomped back down to the base of the mountain.

The rest of the 3-E class looked strangely at Karma who had finally fixed his clothes and buttoned them back on. Karma smirked at the retreating figure of his rival as he said

"Well that was fun. I should do that more often."

A/N: I had fun writing these! >w< I might do these small one-shots more often because I have tons of ideas for stories for these two, but don't have the patience to write a whole lot about just one idea.
