DARA's POV
"Dara, do you want to go to noraebang (karaoke hub)?" Hoya asked me while we were walking together after our class has ended.
"I'm not sure. Let me check first if Key will pick me up or not." I don't want another fight with him if he finds out that I'm not at school again. One of the things I hate the most is complication.
I dialed Key's number and waited for the line to connect. No answer. I dialed again and still, no answer. I tried for the last time and finally the line got connected.
"Hello?"
Hold on! That's a woman's voice. My forehead wrinkled as I looked at the phone screen to check if I dialed the right number. And of course I did. It's a speed dial after all.
"Hello? This is Key's phone right?" I hesitatingly asked, curiosity and doubt eating me up. Did Key lost his phone somewhere? Or did he get robbed perhaps? With weird things going through my head, my eyebrow raised when I heard a faint sarcastic laugh from the other side of the line.
"Yes it's Key's number and I could guess you are that bitch again." She replied shortly after her sarcastic laugh ended.
Jihyun? Not bothering to confirm my hunch, I proceeded with the obvious question. "Why is Key Oppa's phone with you?"
"The answer is obvious my dear." Told ya, it was obvious. Stupid me, I thought. "Your Key Oppa is with me, and we're kinda busy so I gotta hung up now. Bye Dara-ssi!" She said in her natural bitchy tone.
I almost threw my phone away but I thought otherwise. iPhone ain't cheap dude! Besides, I don't want to hear any nagging from the Infinite this time.
"Dara, what now?" I was awakened from my trance by Hoya who is nudging me by the arm. He is an impatient brat by the way.
"Ah, yes I'm going with you." I said, not giving any second thought after knowing that Key might be enjoying his time alone with Jihyun. If he can do it, then I can too.
"Yes!" Everybody at the back rejoiced, all of them gathering around me, each one trying to grab me to make sure I ain't backing out. And while on the way to the karaoke hub, I pretended to sleep. Earbuds plugged and 'No One Else Comes Close' playing, my mind drifted off to the man I call 'boyfriend'.
'Why are they together?'
'I thought they don't have a relationship?'
'Are they close enough for Key to allow Jihyun to answer his phone call?'
I sighed, eyes still closed, my mind is too stubborn to be stopped thinking about Key and Jihyun.
'Is he cheating on me?'
'Did he lie when he said that he and Jihyun have no romantic relationship what-so-ever?'
'If ever I ask Key about it and he did not deny, am I prepared to accept that fact?'
'Should I fight for him or should I give up?'
Too many questions came popping in my mind but they remained unanswered. Only Key can answer them and no one else.
I sighed again, then opened my eyes, only to find out that Woohyun is looking earnestly at me. There's a strong emotion in his eyes that I cannot comprehend. For some weird seconds, I forgot that he is Woohyun, my best buddy. I saw him in a different light and my heart undeniably fluttered.
What was that? Without giving myself the chance to think about weird things,I immediately shook off the idea. I love Key, and I won't cheat ever. Cheating? What?
