"Thanks again for everything," Pattie said as she gave me a small hug.

"No problem," I said.

"Okay so I'll see you tomorrow morning," she said.

"Okay. Bye Justin," I waved to him.

"Bye Mila," he said as he waved back.

I got in my car and drove home. Just as I opened the front door I found a trail of rose pedals that lead somewhere onto the house. I closed the door behind me. Wrote slowly following the pedals to the kitchen.

"Shit you're home early I'm not done yet turn around!" Xavier said making me giggle.

I turned around and waited for him to say it was okay to look again. When he did I turned around and found a bunch of pedals in the shape of a heart in front of him as he held a large bouquet of roses.

"Wow," I said.

"I wanted to do something special for you," he said.

"That's amazing, thank you," I said walking over to him.

He hugged me and placed a soft kiss on my lips. I suddenly remembered something and quickly said, "I need to use the bathroom I'll be right back."

"Okay," he said.

I walked up the stairs and into my bathroom taking out my makeup bag. I applied foundation to my neck and my chest trying my best to blend it out before washing my hands and heading back down to the kitchen where Xavier was waiting.

He had dinner prepared for us outside on the patio. We had a candlelight dinner alongside a bottle of wine while we reminisced on our memories.

It was okay until we went upstairs and he started making out with me. I felt uncomfortable and pulled away.

"I can't do this to tonight, I'm on my period," I lied.

"It's okay we can do it in the shower," he said.

"No Xavier you know how I feel about that," I said, "how about in a few days."

"Okay," he agreed.

"Thank you," I said.

I took a shower and got ready for bed. Without another word we both laid down and fell asleep.

As I drove to Pattie's I thought of the eventful day I had yesterday. Through all my thoughts I realized something that I had forgotten... the marks on Justin's neck, hickeys. Pattie for sure would see them and she'd question me about it.

I stopped at a red light and closed my eyes tightly before opening them back up. I tried preparing myself for whatever would happen as soon as I got there.

I parked in her driveway next to her car and slowly got out, locking the car behind me as I walked to the front door.

I rang the doorbell and in seconds Pattie opened it.
