Elizabeth's POV
I hear a loud bang on the wall. What happened? I know others have to be here. Did someone maybe bang on the wall trying to see if anyone else is here? Did Alice hit the wall? all I know is I keep praying for God to help me get out of this hell that Alice made.
James POV
I move my head fast. Luckily, the knife doesn't hit me, just the wall. She wasn't aiming for my head. I look at the knife in the wall, and then to Alice. She comes storming towards me. She's eyeing up the knife. She pulls the knife out of the wall. While she's doing that I notice something on her pants.
She has a key.
She takes the knife and then sits on the other side of the room. She holds out her right arm and is staring at the knife. I can't let her hurt herself, and I need the keys to get out of here. I have to talk to her.
"Alice, can you come here please? We need to talk." She looks at me. Her eyes are so red. Either she's high or she's been crying a lot. Knowing how she is, I don't know which one to pick. Luckily, she listens to me and gets up, brining the knife with her.
She sits down in front of me and puts the knife down between us. "Yes?" She says in a quiet voice.
I try to speak but then she speaks first.
"I'm sorry James. I'm sorry I even started cutting and I have you trapped here, but I just want to be heard. I want to be loved and cared for by my friends. I don't want to keep being pushed away. I don't want to keep being ignored."
She begins crying. I reach out and rub her back. "Calm down Alice. It's not all your fault."
"I just don't want to get hurt anymore." She keeps sobbing, getting louder with each sob. "That's why I brought all three of you here. I just don't want to keep hurting myself. It's better if someone else hurts me."
"Alice, we don't want to hurt you. We want to do the complete opposite. We want to help you." She starts crying even harder. I didn't even think it was possible for her. I think maybe by her crying she's understanding. She gets up and gives me a hug.
"I'm sorry James." She keeps sobbing. I keep rubbing her back. I go a bit lower. I'm trying to get the keys from her. I think maybe she's high right now so I should be able to get them. I go a bit lower. I now feel the keys in my hand, but her eyes widen. She doesn't realize I'm touching them, but instead she thinks I'm touching her in a sexual way. She looks me in the eyes. I look her in her eyes. She begins leaning in.
That's when the keys come off of her. But instead of them ending up in my hand, they hit the floor with a loud clash.
