you took a step closer, staring right into his bright eyes. his lips were trembling and it was the cutest thing you've ever seen seokmin do.
"relax, it's just a short one trust me."
you held his hands and rubbed the back of his palms to calm him down. once you saw him relax you took a step forward and cupped his face.
"i love you seokmin."
you leaned in closer, feeling anxious as you inched closer to his soft plump lips.
"i wouldn't do that if i were you."
startled, you turned to the source of the voice. your head was dizzy, you couldn't fully take in the situation. why was he here? hong jisoo, was there in a pastel blue coat glaring right at seokmin.
you stepped back, trying to accept the fact that someone else had actually stopped you.
"you can see him??" you voiced out as jisoo walked closer to the both of you.
"i can clearly see him and touch him too." without a warning he sent a punch across seokmin's cheek.
shocked, you ran to seokmin who was on the floor with blood oozing out from the corner of his lips.
"what was that for??? i hope you have a good explanation."
you gently helped seokmin up and grabbed the napkin from your pocket to wipe the blood. you glanced at jisoo and he was furious.
"are you that dumb to believe him? look, that blood on his neck is a lie, whatever you think he is, that's a lie too. that day, i was the one who brought you back home on my own will. i didn't want you to think i was weird for finding you here because i liked you, so i-"
"so you lied? dear god, jisoo what makes you better than seokmin then? and you seokmin, is it true? you know i trusted you!"
all seokmin could afford to do was nod his head in shame.
you backed away from the both of them. you squat down and covered your face with both hands tears streaming down. this was all too much for you to handle, your first love and crush just totally played with your intelligence and the student council president actually had feelings for you.
"i'm sorry, please give me some time alone."
you stood up and wiped away your tears with your sleeves as you stomped away, not even giving a glance to the both of them incase your heart made any last minute changes.
--
two years have passed and you were sitting on your front porch, it was winter yet again. your hands were stuffed in the pockets of your coat, your fingers sensed a familiar item which caused a bitter smile. you took out the item, fumbling with it for a moment. carefully pulling out the box, you picked up a matchstick and lit it up.
"you made my life so miserable yet a wonderful experience, thanks little matchstick."
you blew out the stick and shivered as the cold breeze penetrated your skin.
"called for me?"
you looked up to the familiar voice to see his iconic bright smile that could warm up the coldest weather. you ran up to him and pulled him into your embrace, his arms wrapped around your body in return, which made you feel safe and warm. you felt his soft slender fingers stroke your hair lovingly which made you smile even further.
"i'm glad i made the right choice, seokmin-ah. i love you."
"i love you too, smiling flower."
