A Thug's Eternal Love: Chapter 29

~Chanelle P.O.V.~

We had arrived back in Oakland and I was so sad to be back. I missed my kids and my animals but I missed being alone with my husband more.

"Kids? We're home" I said as I walked in. Lexis insisted on bringing in the bags himself so I let him have his moment.

"Hey Mom" Ty said as he came and gave me a hug.

"Hi honey, how was it with your brothers?" I looked around and everything seemed like it was still alright. I didn't see anything missing or broken. The house looked cleaner than when I had left it, which kind of made me nervous.

"It was really fun actually, I wanna talk to you though like how we used to."

"I'll meet you in your room. Let me just help Dad get the stuff up the stairs and in our room." He smiled at me before retreating up the stairs. "Lexis do you need help?" I called out to him from the front door.

"You wanna come get your endless amount of luggage?" He laughed as he walked up the steps with two of my suitcases.

"I'll take them off your hands." I laughed as I kissed him just before I took the luggage and started heading upstairs. I saw Trey and Chris sitting on Trey's bed with controllers in their hands. "When the hell did you get a wall mounted TV Trey?" I asked as I peered into the room.

"Earlier this morning. We went to Best Buy, bought it, then mounted it to the wall and now we here-"

"How was the honeymoon Mom?" Chris asked, Why the hell was Chris even here to begin with? They got school tomorrow and its already like 10.

"I'll let Dad handle this one. It was nice Chris." I laughed before I continued with dragging the baggage to the room. After a little while Lexis came into the room with the rest of the bags. "You know if you had just waited a few seconds, I could have helped you."

"Nelle I had this. I just wanna lay down, I feel a little jet lagged." He yawned as he crashed onto the bed. Would it be bad if I said I was really turned on by him laying so exposed on the bed? I'm just saying.

"Alright you. I'm going to go talk to Ty then you and I need to talk about something that came up." He simply nodded his head and rolled over onto his side before I stepped out and walked across the hall to Ty's room.

"Hey Mom" he smiled as he took a seat on his bed. I smiled at him and joined him on his bed. I tucked my legs under me and got comfortable.

"Hey, so whats on your mind?"

"I just had a question. At school we were talking about marriages and the struggles people go through. Well it reminded me of you and Dad."

"What's your question then?"

"Why did you marry Dad if you both did each other wrong? I love that you both are married and we're an actual family but you gave Dad so many chances, why though?" I had no answer to that.

"Well Ty, I love your Father. I know he did me wrong a few times and I did him wrong but we were able to over come those hurdles and settle with each other. I would always go back to your father no matter what, he's the father of my kids-"

"So because he's the father you kept going back to him? I'm just trying to wrap my mind around this because it had me thinking."

"That's not why. I wanted to keep trying to make it work with him until it just couldn't possibly work. I didn't want my kids to grow up without their father so I kept going back to him in hopes of making it work. We made it work and now we're happily married." I never expected to have this conversation with him. It most certainly didn't make me second guess anything but it took me by surprise.
