Over the couse of the next day, Chronos spent 6 hours planning how he may be able to find Ledrin's friends and 10 seconds planning how to leave without his parents realising. It was quite simple really. All he had to do was leave a recording of him sneezing and tape a note on his door stating not to come in.
Night passed without the single hoot of an owl in the vicinity, almost as if it knew the dangers Chronos would soon be in. Wearing dull colours so as to not stand out, Chronos regretfully left without saying goodbye to his parents. It was a necessary addition to his schedule since he was supposed to be in his room sneezing as if he were there. The day was bright and warm, with a slight breeze playing towards the west. He glanced at Ledrin's note, just to make sure he was heading in the right direction. He saw that he was and without any further thought, he set off at the steady pace of 7MPH.
20 minutes later he arrived at the Pluto Observatory, but Ledrin was nowhere to be seen. He took the note out again to make sure that he hadn't mixed up the date. Then he realised that he had the right day but Ledrin hadn't even given him a time. Old fool, he thought. How could he forget to supply a time. Right when he was about to start tinkering with his Hi-Res Night Vision eye pieces, a huge cloud of smoke enveloped Chronos.
"Aah. What *cough* happened *cough*?" shouted Chronos as he squinted to find the source of the cloud.
"I seemed to have messed up my teleporting spell," a voice said gravely.
"Ledrin!" exclaimed Chronos with excitement. It seemed that the warlock took a lucky guess with the time of his arrival. Or did he?
"Hello Chronos," said Ledrin jovially. " I suppose we should get cracking on then?"
"Yes. As soon as possible," stated Chronos.
"Well I guess that's now then!" Ledrin laughed then placed a hand on Chronos's small shoulder." Listen carefully. I want you to think of the words "motin ace" when I say "hey". It sure is a wonderful kind of day to learn to walk and play and get along with each other. Now the weather aside, let us go."
"Ok,"agreed Chronos.A minute passed when suddenly a "hey" could be heard across the city. Chronos immediately began silently chanting the words. The world around them shrunk to a purple-blue space vortex so interesting that Chronos nearly forgot about the magic words. They were flying through a cylinder that could bend space. After a minute, the two magical beings were thrown out of the end of the cylinder onto some grassy plains.
"This is the land of Tergul Plains. It was created when a huge magical war took place here. It used to be highlands, perfect for cover." Ledrin commented.
"So why are we here? As in specifically here?"
"Because this is where the evil of the kolds were sent into oblivion. This, is where the 5th age began."/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Dramatic ending I guess. So my new upload schedule will be (no specific number in mind) chapters per week. They will be published on Wednesdays and in the weekend. I might make some exceptions like this one where I publish a bit earlier or later than intended. I'm really enjoying making this book so I hope you are having just as good a time reading. I know I'm dragging this on but did anyone catch the Harry Potter and Arthur references. Comment if you think you got it. Ok, I'm done now but no more catchphrase at the end because it was cringey. Goodbye and have a great rest of your day.
