"The 5th age? What's that?" Chronos's head lolled on his shoulder as he asked this.
"It is the era after the great war between kolds and the rest of the world. It marks the beginning of the spike in talents for architecture as well," said Ledrin.

The duo left on a path due east of where they landed. Ledrin led while Chronos became up to date on the magical world.
"So you're telling me that in Earthworld, you have elves, wizards, centaurs and fairies?"
"That is what I am telling you!" laughed Ledrin loudly. Tergul plains had lots of wildlife. There were: rabbits, squirrels, rats, wolves, and even something that resembled a pink blob. The horizon consisted of several large mountains with peaks so high that they were lost in the water vapour. Anyone at the top must really have their head in the clouds.

The closer they got to the mountains of Dūn Gildör, the more the landscape seemed to retract into a foggy mist. At the foot of the mountain was almost limbo.
"Why is it so foggy here?" Chronos inquired.
"At this time of year (summer), the mountains of Dūn Gildör releas a lot of snow that had built up on the inside during winter. The snow evaporates and comes back down as a thick fog," answered Ledrin. "I say we start climbing the mountain!"
"But I can't even get over a fence let alone this huge mountain." Chronos had not expected to have to scale a mountain.
"Fine. If you don't want the thrill of climbing, just say "liat tachson" and you should be attached to me with an invisible rope."
"Won't that make it impossible for you to climb yourself then Ledrin?"
"Of course not! This also makes you lighter than a feather. Pretty handy, don't you think?"
"I guess so."

They began to climb. It was tiring work - for Ledrin. Chronos's eyes sank in the amazing view as bit by bit, their altitude increased. As the sun set, several birds flew into trees, hoping to get some rest. The animals on the ground looked like toys from this high up. However, as time went on, Chronos's hunger and weariness began to take over.
"Can we take a rest?" he whispered. "I feel so sleepy and hungry."
"Ok. Give me two minutes to get to that cave above us." Ledrin moved quicker than a leopard, grabbing rocks with a hand too fast to make out.

2 minutes later, as said, they were in a small cave just big enough for a small group of people. Ledrin conjured up a fire using his magic and cooked a delicious meal, which tasted so good that Chronos was able to fall asleep without any thoughts. Not a single nightmare worked it's way into his dream. Ledrin sat up all night, keeping watch since there was no telling if someone was spying on them. Eventually dawn broke the dark sky and  Chronos woke up, attempting to stifle a yawn. Ledrin was making sure that no one was slacking on todays journey.
"Get up!" he roared. "We need to get going early to keep anyone off our tail."
"Why would anyone want to stalk us?" asked Chronos interestedly.
"To report back to the ruler of the kolds, Dralos." Ledrin replied quickly.
"Fair enough,"

Yet again, the duo set off, scaling the mountain (one of them)  and taking in the view (the other). However half an hour later, there wasn't much to see seeing as they were now above the clouds. Still, being able to gaze at the clouds first hand is pretty amazing anyway. The mountain was getting smoother and easier to climb for Ledrin because the rain and wind that usually erodes the mountain did not do so this high up.

Chronos was about to start tinkering with his caminvis, which removes him from any camera footage as long as he was not sleeping, when they reached the peak. "Finally!" breathed Chronos with relief.
"No, not finally. We still have to go back down," said Ledrin, crushing Chronos's hopes of resting (even though he was on Ledrin's back the whole time).
"Then why couldn't we have just gone around the mountain instead of climbing it?" moaned Chronos.
"Because that's not fun!" Then seeing the look on Chronos's face he added, "and we wouldn't have as much cover from potential spies."

Ledrin decided that to ease Chronos's suffering, he would shorten the time it would take to reach the ground by jumping off the mountain.
"Are you sure we're not going to die?" said Chronos worriedly. "There are about 100,ooo,ooo things that could go wrong with this plan. We could die from the impact, from a bird, a random cliff, air resistance..."
"I have a spell to make us light as a feather at the last second."
"THE LAST SECOND!" exclaimed Chronos.
Yes. Don't worry. We'll have a great time."

Shivering, Chronos prepared himself for the leap of faith. There was nothing he could do but pray. Pray that Ledrin wasn't mental. He glanced over the edge. The bottom was non existant. He shut his eyes and waited for the signal from Ledrin. Waited, waited, waited, now, waited, oh wait! Heart filled with dread, Chronos stepped over, hoping that he would survive. His eyes blurred and his ears filled with the wind. He started drifting towards the left, further away from Ledrin. He wouldn't be able to cast the spell on Chronos. He was too far away. Chronos would die without saying goodbye to his parents. Well at least he would be able to see his sister if she died as well.
"Hello!" he cried hoping to reach her.
"Hello indeed,"

This just broke the record of my longest chapter! I guess it is because I had about 2 days to write it. I hoped you enjoyed and if you did, leave a vote and a comment. Do you think Chronos will live? (Well obviously. In DBZ, Yamcha lives more than he deserves). Now the real question, who is this strange and mysterious voice at the end of the chapter? Remember to add this to your library so that you can keep up to date with the chapters. Bye!
