A/N sorry if you don't like hunting, it was part of the plot line. There isn't any killing in this story anyway so if you don't like hunting, you're safe.
The weather was perfect. Not too warm, not too cold and it wasn't windy at all. That's why you and (c/n) decided it would be a perfect idea to go hunting today. Camouflage on, guns loaded, you started the trek to his tree stand.
It was November and the leave were in the beautiful process of changing from green, to red and orange. You always thought this was the most beautiful time of the year.
You made small talk with him until you eventually got to the stand.
"Ladies first," (c/n) said in a horrible posh accent, smirking and trying not to laugh.
"Why thank you sir," you replied, your accent even worse than his.
You placed your hands on the cold, black ladder and started your climb to the top. Almost at the top, you suddenly lost your grip on the ladder and plummeted to the ground, hitting it with a hard crash.
You screamed in agony, clutching your ribs and shoulder. (C/n) rushed to your side, kneeling down next to you.
"(Y/n)!" he shouted. You tried to reply but only sounds came out. Fumbling for his phone, (c/n) quickly called 911.
After he was done giving them your location and giving them a quick description of what happened, (c/n) came close to you, fear in his eyes and tears streaming down his face. He took your hands in his telling you to "hang in there."
It took all of your effort to whisper one last thing before you lost consciousness.
"(C/n)."
*time skip*
You quietly hissed as a blinding light hit your face. You quickly shielded your eyes with your arm. Once your eyes adjusted, you realized you were in a hospital room.
You had a stiff, white hospital gown on and your shoulder and ribs were wrapped in white gauze.
You felt pressure on your hand, looking over you saw (c/n) holding onto your hand. His head was resting on the edge of your bed, he was fast asleep.
"(C/n)," you whispered as you stroked his soft hair. He bolted straight up, one half of his hair was ruffled while the other half was normal. You got a closer look at him, he didn't seem like he had had much sleep.
"(Y/n)," he looked relieved even though there were now tears streaming down his face.
He hugged you like you were glass object, as if he were to let go, he would loose you. (C/n) looked into your eyes and whispered the one thing you've always wanted him to say.
"I love you."
Hey guys. I'm not sure if you'll like this story but I thought the plot line was pretty cute. Until next time!
