It seems as if everyone but you had found their soulmate. Your best friend, your sister, even the little kid you babysit down the street. Well, that is until today.
It was like any other day. You woke up, got ready, and trudged through an awful day of school. You rode your bike to the local diner and decided to get some homework done there.
15 minutes into frustrating math homework, you felt a warm tingle spread throughout your hand. Looking down, you saw deep black ink swirling around and looping on your hand. The messy lines and swirls turned out to be a drawn blue jay.
A smile immediately spread across your face as you scrambled around to find a pen in your backpack. Your parents never really liked you drawing on yourself as a kid. It's almost as if they didn't want you to meet your soulmate, which could possibly be the case.
You went against what they thought and decided to draw a sunflower on your other hand.
The next day came and the mysterious person who drew the blue jay on your hand didn't write anything else back. You assumed it was because they were busy.
It was finally the weekend and you were headed to the arcade. It was your 4th round into dig dug when you felt the familiar warmth on your forearm. Pulling up your sleeve, you saw a collection of flowers. Your soulmate was quite the artist.
You played three rounds of pac man before answering with a small heart on the pad of your index finger.
Waiting for them to respond, you looked at the intricate blue jay that was drawn yesterday, it was starting to fade.
You noticed they were drawing again, only this time it wasn't a drawing. You looked down and in beautiful yet messy handwriting was:
"Hello soulmate, the name's (c/n)"
