Annabelle Grace
I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
Three hours in the car seat with all the packing for the whole week was getting on Anna, as she was snorting in the back of the car with her head laying on the sill of the car window. Her mum was over the moon when she got the promotion to be the general manager to the new branch here, and her dad was nothing but a very supportive husband to his wife. He looked for a job since he quit the one there, and bought them a new house near her mum's workplace. The house that they didn't see yet, as her father wanted to surprise them.
Her mum was overjoyed about the whole deal, it's like her dreams come true and her father was just a love sick of her doing everything she wishes for. He'd kiss the ground she walks on. Showering her with love and respect all the time even when she get tired of it, he wouldn't care as he's so in love with her. That is, what Anna would never understand. Love? It's very unrealistic . But when she sees how her father treats her mum a deep feeling in her heart wishes to have someone who treasures her in the same way.
All the moving to a total new place terrifies Anna so much. She couldn't sleep a bit thinking about her friend, Joshua. Leaving him was the hardest part, he was the only friend she got besides her brother ,even he was a guy but he was the closest person to her heart. They had spent a lot nights in each other's homes playing video games, watching soccer or just talking the silliest thing come to their mind. They'd find condolence in their each other's arms.
She will miss those days, she'll miss him for sure. He assures her that everything will be fine, but will it? She's not the carefree and sociable person to mingle with new people. She's very shy and nerdy type girl with her boyish style of clothing, that her mother wouldn't approve of since she was the number one model in her teenage time, but Anna doesn't care even if her mum was Marline Monroe.
As Anna opens her eyes, she sees that the car has already stopped and her father knocking lightly on her window to wake her up. He opens the car door for her and helps her out.
Turning around she comes face to face with the new house, a gasp left Anna's lips at the two story white house. It's incredibly beautiful with the wooden Victorian like gate and the small garden which is full of flowers in different colours.
'' do you like , Anna ?'' her dad asked with a huge grin plastered on his face.
Anna smiled her pretty smile and replied '' I love it dad, it's wonderful ''
'' I know right, come let's see the inside. I bet you will love it more '' he intertwined his fingers with her mum's and pull her towards the porch. Anna's mum was mesmerized in her place at how amazingly stunning the house. Her bright blue eyes were glittering with happiness and satisfaction.
The inside as her dad said, as you step in you can see a white coloured living room with pretty brown sofas and huge plasma on the left, the kitchen was in the opposite side with a small dining room. The bedrooms were upstairs, a master bedroom at the end of the hall with two guest rooms on the other side and Anna's room was next to them.
Her room wasn't as she expected, it's exactly as her old one. But much prettier with the deep blue walls and queen sized bed with light blue sheets. What caught her eyes was the French balcony doors, she couldn't help but open them to see the fascinating view of the colourful garden.
Hours later, the movers unpack everything and the house look more homely now with their stuff here and there around the house. Her mother ordered some Chinese for dinner which they ate as celebration of the new start. After the meal, her mum told her about the new school and how she's got to make new friends.
'' Anna just try for me , please. This is your senior year you've got to hang out with people your age. It comes once in lifetime'' her mum said '' and try to wear something more decent'' added she bluntly .
Anna went to bed with sleepless night. What if they bully her like what happens in her old school? This time will be much worse, since Joshua isn't here to protect her. Ugh how she hates her life? But maybe there's good will come out of this, she could use this a new start away from grieving.
Sleep never comes to her that night with all the thoughts hunting her poor mind.
