Anna lost her appetite that night. Her meeting with Jas did enlighten her with some facts but she couldn't get, what had him change? Why all of sudden become another person? What could have happened to him? And why the guys didn't help their best friend? What about the letter, what's with the numbers?

2 down, 28 to go

Then it all make sense, the writings at the ground says ;1 down 29 to go. It's the days since she moved here and sense she met him. 29 and 1, that's a 30 a month but before what.

What would happen after the 30 days end?

'' you don't have much time before he ruin himself ''

Ruin himself? What that means, is he going to do something so horrible to himself. Ugh!!!!! just the thought of him dead made her heart twist and she yelp in pain.

'ugh ' she clutched on her heart and groans. The pain start to fade little by little, it must the connection she had with him. She must find out that connection, but most importantly helping him first. Her eyes start to drop as she fall asleep.

'' and then he fell on his face, that was so hilarious . you should have seen his face! hah ha hah! He was like a tomato raging with anger!! But that wasn't the best part , the best part was when I give him a hand to stand up and he actually took it'' Mike and Jas went in fit of laughter after hearing the last part which confuses Annabelle.

They were all standing near jasmine locker and chatting, mostly listening to Luke stories.

'' you didn't get it Anna right?'' Mike notices her baffled '' you never take any help from Luke, never'' he clarifies with his goofy grin. Anna nods in understanding.

''the poor guy'' breathed Jas. She closes the door of her locker and face the group. ''well! I'm done let's kill school!'' she chanted and they start walking.

'' who says 'kill school' that's so stupid Jas'' Luke mocked.

'' that's not stupid you foetus''

'' hey I'm grown up MAN'' Luke stamps his food on the ground and glare at jas.

'' yes right foetus'' sarcastically she replied with smirk.

'' you need to upgrade your nicknaming device, it's so--'' he stumbles to find a fit word.

Since the morning Anna was looking for Aaron but like the day before he's anywhere to be seen. But today she was going to find him if she wants to do something before it's too late.

'' guys I need to get something from my locker, go don't worry I think I now know the place'' she told them and in instant Mike offered to go with her but she nervously declined since it was just a lie and she couldn't have him looking for Aaron with her.

Walking in the hallways, searching for the black hoodie around the students body but her search was in vain. Every time she sees a hoodie, her hopes rise but when the person turns they drop as fast. Soon her heart start to twist as yesterday night but this time wasn't painful, it was like he is doing a happiness dance, she grasped it tightly hoping for the feeling to fade but whenever she comes nearer the school back yard, the feeling becomes stronger.

'' where are you Aaron ?'' she whispered , still not finding him even in the backyard, but before she turns to enter the school ,she saw him.

Up there, sitting on the tree branch with his hands behind his head resting. His eyes were closed and a cigarette was between his now swollen lips. He seems distress, there must be something worrying him.

She moves to stand under the big tree awaiting for him to open his eyes. Suddenly the slight pain of her heart stopped and she release the hand on her heart. She looks at her watch and there's only five minutes before the last bell. Not waiting anymore for him to open his eyes, she picked a tiny rock and throw it on his dangling foot.

Aaron opens his eyes calmly and look down his food when he sees Annabelle standing under the tree with a sheepish grin. He looked at her then shuts his eyes again like nothing happened.

'' Hey Aaron, it's only few minutes before the last bell'' she told him but she got no answer. How stupid you are Anna the boy here doesn't give a freaking fly for school and you thought he'll jump and hurry to his so ah-ma-zing classes?? Smart, very smart! Ugh, but what should I say to provoke a response from him?!! Think harder, umm

'' did you remember what happened at the park Monday night? '' she said sweetly. His eyes jerked open but still no answer! '' you were so drunk, that's why you didn't come to school right? ''

Aaron jumps down and look at Anna, but his green eyes were as ever so numb. She bet they'll look mouth watering with a twinkle in them. Now just with the image in her head she can't help but dwell over this very handsome creature.

He took the cigarette out of his mouth.

'' what do you want, huh? '' his voice was hoarse but it was like music to Anna's ears.

'' what do you mean, why'd I want something? '' she wanted to answer his questions with question so she can hear him more. What's happening to me?? She pinched her hand, she does that whenever she feels dumb.

Now, she got to work and help Aaron not amuse her own self, even with connection she had for him she's not sure if it was made to drag her to help him or something else.

'' just leave me alone'' he said in cold tune , throwing the used cigarette on the ground and stomp on it.

'' you asked what I want, well I want to be your friend Aaron '' his muscles tensed under his hoodie and his hands clenched in fists.

He grab Anna from her shoulders and pinned her to the tree forcefully making her yelp from his strong arms.

'' I said leave me alone! So leave me alone, or else '' he barked with pure venom.

'' what else, huh ! are you going to punch me again? '' she dared with a courage she didn't it was existing in her. Hearing her words he was now fuming , how he wished she wasn't a girl so he can knock the blood out of her. He tried to calm himself but he couldn't, his grasp on her shoulders tightens .

'' don't dare me I never stopped before'' he spat. Her tears were rivers on her both cheeks and the once numb eyes were red with anger and hatred.

''why Aaron ? why are you doing that for yourself? You're hurting yourself stop!!'' she chocks at her words .'' if you want someone to hurt, hurt me but don't hurt yourself , please'' she breaths heavily. Something was taking over her, for sure!

His breath becomes shallow and loosen his hands from her shoulders. She couldn't understand him? Will he become her friend now?

'' with pleasure, you had it coming'' he narrowed his eyes and said in wicked smirk. That wasn't what she expected, it looks her mission is harder than she imagined.

She couldn't say or do a thing, he was still corning her with his huge hands under the tree.

'' what the hell is going on here? '' barked an angry voice breaking the two from each other to look at the person standing few feet away.
