Their flight landed at five o' clock this morning. Both Kingston and Francesca were exhausted from the long ride to Miama, Florida. Sweat dripped off her skin shining in the hot sun. "You ready to meet the fam?" He asked as she wiped her forehead off.

"Yeah, but I need to hurry up and get in the shower. I look a hot ass mess and I'm sweating bullets."

"We ain't got time for you tryna' doll up for the squad, but I guarantee we gone get you to the shower quick."

She rolled her eyes at him as he grabbed their bags out of the trunk of his car. They had just arrived to his Aunt, Vivica's house. When he turned around and seen the frown on her face he kissed her cheek and proceeded up the porch stairs.

They stood on the 'Welcome' mat and waited to be let in, "Don't worry, ma. I'm gone make it up to you." He winked as the door swung open.

His Aunt Vivica was drop dead gorgeous. She was around the age of fifty with glasses that sat on top of her nose with a knitting kit in her hand ; smiling. Her hazel eyes twinkled as the sun beamed down her. "Kingston, baby. I haven't seen you in decades.Where you been, baby?" She asked tilting her glasses down.

"I ain't been no where, really. I just ain't came to visit in a while."

"A while. Boy, I ain't seen you since you was eleven."

He chuckled, "Aunt, Vivica, you seen me not too long ago. Last time I seen you was when me and mama got into it."

"Speaking of your mama, she's coming to the renuion."

He smacked his lips and her heavy hand went flat across his face leaving a red mark. "Boy, I den' raised you better than that. I know you and yo' mama don't see eye to eye, but this renuion is not just about you. It's about everybody and their mama. I ain't seen my sister in years. I ain't seen you in years and it's about time you two make up, but don't disrespect her in my house."

"I ain't gone never disrespect my mama, I know better than that, but I just ain't ready to be the first to apologize."

"What ever. Just come give yo' Aunt Viv some sugar." She smiled and pulled him into a tight hug kissing him all over. "I miss you, boy."

"I missed you too."

"And who might this fine young woman be?" She let go of him and looked at Francesca.

"This my girl, Francesca."

"Ooo girl, you must be something special if you got my nephew blushing."

"I ain't blushing." He protested, but his bright red cheeks begged to differ.

The two women laughed at his insecurities and proceeded into the house, "I think he really likes you." Vivica whispered to her as they walked into the kitchen.

"Not enough."

"What you mean?"

"He's not sure about his feelings yet, but I really like him."

"Show him that you like him. Show him you know him more than he knows himself. What are his interests? What doesn't he like? All that stuff really has an effect on a man. He's been looking for a real relationship since he started growing facial hair." They giggled, "I'm serious, Francesca. You look like a really nice girl and he needs someone like you. I have seen a couple men say 'we can't wife these hoes' or 'never love a bitch', but that's only because they're looking for someone to put their trust into. Not too many females can be trusted."
