She smiled at him
It seemed so real
How was it fake
It seemed so real
She smiled at her
She smiled back
They both looked real
But both could tell they were not
They looked so real
They could fool others with real smiles
But not the ones also faking it
They looked so real
They seemed so genuine
They smiled at everyone
But when alone they frowned and cried
They looked happy but were slowly dying inside
They faked it until they died
No one knew how fake their smiles were
No one, but themselves and people whose smiles looked so real
They died with that pain
They died looking happy but full of cracks that never healed
But the second before their souls left
if you looked into their eyes deep enough
you could see the sadness
hidden by smiles
the cracks on their souls
hidden away and you would know they were broken
but strong
They smiled at the world
Their smiles so fake
but...
They seemed so real
They seemed so genuine
So they fooled everyone till the second before their souls left
They looked so happy
