Chapter 11

Around nine the next morning Ryan woke up in a yellow room, he groggily sat up and looked around the room. He was in one of the Harrison’s first floor guest rooms. He pulled the covers down and hopped out of bed. As he scanned the room he spotted Joseph sprawled across a bed on the opposite side of the room. Ryan got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to clean up and brush.

Megan. She had invaded every single one of his dreams last night.

He remembered how amazing she looked, how she felt against him when they were dancing, how she seemed so shy and uncertain as he spilled his guts about his feelings towards her, but most of all he remembered the kiss. Under that gold see through cover-up, she was wearing a striking red bikini. He noticed it as soon as she came out of her room earlier and felt himself react immediately. He thought it was hard not to touch her in her jeans and sweater, but seeing her like that it was almost impossible.

Her lips were amazingly soft as they met his, and her scent was intoxicating. He wasn’t sure how far he should go, or how far she would let him to go. But he decided it was a night of taking risks and urged her to open her lips to make way for his tongue. She tasted like sweet mangos, and he felt himself quickly wanting more. When they both slowly pulled back they were out of breath, her lips were swollen and she shyly looked down. He rested his forehead against hers as he tried to regain his breath back.

His stomach grumbled and he realized that all that alcohol and excitement from last night left him starving. He was careful not to wake up Joseph as he made his way out the door. He passed a few rooms along his way to the kitchen and noticed that there were a lot of people who decided to spend the night. As he passed the hallway all the empty bottles and trash he was expecting was nowhere to be found. He made it to the dining room and saw that it was sparkly clean; there were no remains of the mess that was there just the previous night. He heard some chatter coming from what looked like the kitchen.

Curiously he peered in to find a light brown haired woman with an apron flipping pancakes on the stove. Zach and Megan were a few feet away cutting some fresh apples and melons. Ryan took a few steps in so he was all the way into the kitchen to announce his presence.

“Hi everyone, how is everything going this morning?” He asked as his eyes landed on Megan. She was wearing black jeans and a green top that complimented her brown eyes. Her hair was down past her shoulders and unlike the curls last night it took to its natural waves.

Megan blushed under his gaze and smiled shyly, “Hey, did you sleep well?” She asked as she turned her attention back to the honeydew melons she was cutting.

“Yea I did, what are you guy up to?” Ryan asked reaching for one of the water bottles resting on the counter.

“We are making breakfast for the house guests.” Zach told him, dumping the pieces he cut into a glass bowl.

“You got up early to make breakfast? What happened to all the bottles and garbage from last night?” Ryan questioned moving to stand next to Megan.

“We cleaned it up with Brady and Danni’s help. We didn’t want everyone to wake up to a messy house.” Zach told him.

“How early did you wake up?” Ryan asked, knowing that they probably didn’t get much sleep last night.

“I woke up at six thirty and took a shower then woke Megs up around seven. We always try to clean up before everyone gets ready for breakfast.” Zach picked up a glass of orange juice and took a large gulp out of it.
