Closing In (Wolfblood Fanfic)

(Rhydians POV)

It was close to night fall now and we had barely even made it through the village. It felt like Maddy was mad at me for some reason but i had no idea what for. She wasn't listening to anything i had to say and was walking faster and faster as if she did not want to spend time with me. I heard everyone begin to scream and some people were even running away. I looked over at Maddy and jana, they were at a standstill. I ran over to them and jana was growling, her eyes a golden yellow colour and her gums black. I brought her into my arms to hide her face from the public and began to run forwards, towards the vaughns. Maddy just stood there starring at us.

"come on Maddy" i shouted at her. "we have to go" she began to run towards us as fast as she could. I couldn't understand why everyone was still screaming and running away. They could no longer see janas face. I felt Maddy tap on my shoulder so i came to a stand still and looked back at her still holding jana in my arms. She pushed at my chest and managed to break free from my grip. When i looked at her, she was back to normal again. Her and Maddy were stood looking at the poster covered wall. Janas face was more angry than anything but Maddy look more scared to the bone. When i looked up at the wall, there was a laminated picture of Maddy and her family. Underneath was a news add telling everyone about them being wolfbloods. They busted jana and got scared, then everyone recognised Maddy.

''i knew that this would happen!'' jana began to shout. ''what did i tell you before? we shouldn't have come here!'' i looked over at maddy and she looked back at me. i tried to hide my feear.. there had to be at least one strong one out of the 3 of us. ''were dead. were dead'' Jana went on.

"maybe you could try been a little more positive than this. lets go back to your old house. they wouldn't expect anyone to be there unless someone dobs us in. we hide hide out in the den. that way even if they do get in there is another way out. Maddy, you need to stau calm and think positive. Jana, you need to shut up unles syou have something positive to say and most definately stay calm. if you wolf out like that again outside of the den. it could be over for all wolfbloods everywhere. do you get it?" i told maddy and Jana. Jana tried to say something other than agreeing with me so before she could say anything more i interupted her. "i said do you get it?" i asked in a slightly angrier tone of voice. Jana looked down slightly scared after been put into her place and nodded. i looked back over at maddy and she was looking at me with a slight smile on the corners of her lips, with a glint in her eyes that she never normally has. i could feel a small smile creeping across my face the more i looked at hers. "what?" i asked her. then she came walking towards me, wrapped one of her arms around my neck and pressed her soft, warm lips to mine. it was like been in heaven again. that feeling just sent shivers down my spine and caused my whole body to come out in goosebumps. nothing else around me mattered. i forgot almost everything that had just happened. like my whole life was just this... this.. this amazing sensation that filled my heart with even more love towards her. our lips slowly departed from each other and I was back to gazing into her beautiful brown eyes. "what was that for?" I asked her, curious of the random kiss but she didnt answer me. instead she looked down awkwardly before quickly changing the subject.

"come on then. let's go" she took my hand in hers and entwined my fingers with hers before beginning to walk back home, followed by a very moody looking Jana.

i could tell that it was going to be a long journey. maddy and jana didnt say a word. i looked over my sholder at jana and she had a really moody look on her face. i felt guilty for having a go at her so i thought id try and cheere her up.

"come on jana, cheer up. its not that bad you know" but then she just crossed the line. said something that there was absolutely no need for. 

"it would be a lot better if that cow wasnt here" she mummbled under her breathe. Maddy stopped in her tracks, and let go of my hand before turning around. i wasnt so worried because she looked relatively calm considering what Jana had just said.

"sorry, what jana?" Jana took a small step back before looking at me with an angry look on her face. what she said next was as if the presence of maddy wasnt even real at all.

"look, she has to go. its not good her been here" i didnt want to get involved in there arguments so i put my hand up, instead of getting myself out of the arument, maddy started to say things to me too.

"like he would listen to you. right Rhydian"

"she will just get us into so much trouble. even more than what we're allready in"

"dont list to her, we can go to the den again and be safe"

"yeah, the den. dr. Whitewood will consider us going there too. we will only get caught Rhydian"

"we can find the pack again" i had had enough. all of this arguing was just giving me a headache. it was getting to much for me to handle.

"enough! just enough! its my desicion alright? we are going back to the den Jana. Maddys right we will be safer there. the fact that maddy is right and your wrong makes me wonder wether youre a good leader out there at all" i didnt want to get into anymore arguments so instead, i simply turned around and walked off, leaving maddy and Jana stood there angry and confused.
