Colby's POV

Of course I was happy. I have a great girlfriend, my best friend is doing awesome, and my life has never been better. I stood there kind of awe struck watching Jenny run away so quick. Shaking my head I turned around bumping into a few people. The mall was getting crowded and I just wanted to go home. Shaking my head a little, I walked towards the nearest exit but stopped. A blonde headed girl was walking away from me making my heart race. She was skinny but had curves and her hair was golden and long. I ran as fast as I could over to the girl and grabbed her arm. It was surprisingly cold to the touch but when she turned around, I wanted to curl into a ball and hide.

"WHAT THE HELL FREAK!" The girl cried as I whipped her around. Dark almost black eyes met my gaze and a cold completion that iced my veins.

"I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else. I'm sorry" I looked down and started walking away but a hand grabbed my bicep.

"Hey wait. You're cute." She said putting her chest to mine. "Would you like to get lucky and hook up at my place tonight?" She asked trying to sound seductive while biting her lip. She leaned her head in to mine and slowly moved her hands down my bare arms.

"No. Don't touch me" was all I said as I pushed her off and continued to walk out of the mall with my arms raised. As I left I heard her chatters with who I'm assuming we're her blow up doll friends. When I got to my car I swung the door open and slammed it shut.

"DAMN IT COLBY! SHE'S DEAD! SHE'S GONE! DROP IT ASSHOLE!" I yelled at myself slamming the wheel a couple times. I couldn't help but break down when there was a tapping on the window. I snapped my head up to be met with a bent at the waist African American mall cop with a confused expression.

"Everything okay sir?" He asked genuinely concerned.

"Yeah. In sorry. My uhhh" I stopped to think really quick. "My grandparents-" I got cut off really quick.

"I don't need a sob story sir, just checking to make sure you're fine and dandy" he smiled and stood up. "Glad everything's ok. Enjoy your day sir" he waved goodbye and entered the mall.

Wiping away stray tears, I plunged the key into the ignition and sped out of the parking lot. When I got home Sam was on the couch with a girl.

"Oh! Sorry, didn't know you had a visitor. My bad" I flushed out. I started walking up the stairs to my room when Sam yelled an "it's okay man! I'll introduce you later." I nodded even though he couldn't see me. Once I got into my room my phone buzzed.

Jenny 🌞: Hey babe, I picked out the most perfect outfit. I had to fight a dirty girl for it haha. Says she needed it more 😂. Looked like it, she was homeless! What's a girl like her need it for? Looking forward to our date! Xoxo

'Well ok then' I thought to myself. I texted back a quick response and walked to the bathroom. Setting my hands down on each end of the sink, I got a flashback.

"I'm fine it's no big deal I fell-" Erin's voice said as she jumped up onto the bathroom counter, "save it I'm not believing you, someone did this" I cut her off while staring into her bright eyes. She was so pretty, why had I felt this way? Something about her makes me drawn in, like I'm under a voodoo spell.

"What are you smiling at?" Sam's voice invaded my ears as he came into the reflective mirror.

"Oh it's nothing man. Why are you up here? Don't you have a girl down there?" I asked rubbing my face to try and peel the memory from my mind.
