Junior Year
Lola groaned, resting her head against the cool car window as Harry drives to school.
"I don't feel good, maybe you should just take me home." Lola grumbled, her eye lids feeling heavy and sore.
Harry snorted, pulling into the student parking lot. "As if I'm going to do that. He won't get near you, because I'll be by your side the whole day, except Spanish and Yoga." Harry smiled, giving Lola a small nod before exciting the car.
With a huff, Lola follows, dragging herself to her locker. "For once, i'm happy i don't have English today." Lola smiles, shutting her locker.
"Just an FYI - E and P know you ran out yesterday, kinda all over the school, but just be prepared for their endless questions." Harry sighs, running a hand through his hair. Lola gives him a small smile, peaking into the Spanish room.
"Well alright - i'll see you in about two hours, have fun in Algebra 2." Lola wiggles her eyebrows with a laugh before entering the room.
She takes a deep breath as she makes her way to their usual table, both Eleanor and Perrie seated quietly as she approaches them.
They smile at her before continuing to take notes, leaving Lola a little dumbfounded.
"Is everything okay?" Lola asks, an eyebrow arched as she watches the two with skeptical eyes. Eleanor smiles with a nod, "Yeah - why wouldn't it be?"
"Well because you guys are quiet... too quiet."
Perrie grunts, throwing her pencil onto the table as she leans back, arms crossed over her chest. "We heard that you ran out sick in English. But you love English and we all know you wouldn't do that - even if you were actually sick, so what's up?" Eleanor sighs in relief, a curious look plastered on her face as she looks at Lola expectantly.
Lola bites her lips, her pencil tapping rapidly onto her notebook before she gives in, running her hand over her face.
"Liam Payne... is the new kid that transferred here."
Perrie and Eleanor's eyes both widen, their mouths falling open slightly. They share a look of shock before Perrie gasps and Eleanor leans forward.
"Liam Payne? The Liam Payne you were best friends with in elementary school? Liam Payne, the one who you had the biggest crush on through middle school? Liam Payne, who your ex-best friend dated, then started being a total dick to you for no apparent reason - transferred here?" Eleanor rushed out, her eyes still wide and wild.
"Yes, I think that's what i just said."
"What are you going to do?" Perrie questions, her eyebrows furrowed as she bites onto her knuckle.
"I hope you three are talking in Spanish - esta es una clase de español." Miss Santana calls, her arms crossed over her chest as she watches the three chit chat.
"Disculpe señora Santana" Eleanor beams, mumbling something under her breath as Miss Santana turns around to help another student.
Lola leans in, looking over her shoulder to find Miss Santana watching them. "Nada." Lola rolls her eyes, saying it loud enough to get the teacher off her back.
"What about Liam? What is he going to do about it?" Perrie presses, her eyes trained on something behind her. "Hopefully the same." Lola sighs, her eyebrows furrowed as she watches their faces carefully.
Eleanor's eyes are wide while Perrie's are turned to slits - both locked onto something behind Lola.
"I really doubt that." Eleanor grumbles as the bell rings, everyone standing and leaving the classroom. "We're gonna go run and get some smoothies from Quick&Go, you want anything." Lola shakes her head, turning to make her way toward the math wing.
