[A:N/ Hey guys. :) This chapter is long for whatever reason. I plan on changing that. But, here it is for now. I took the chapter down while editing, so I wanted to get it back up ASAP. And for that reason, there may be a ton of grammar issues. Don't worry, I plan on going over it later. Also, explicit cotext in the song above!:) A:N/]
Depositing my books in my locker, I heaved a sigh as I joined the mass of bodies trying to all go out of two doors all at once. Squeezing my way through one of the doors, I realized the pettiness of it all, just like I did every day. There was way more room to be had and they knew they could have moved faster than they were. All the time it just seemed as if the people in this school thought they were in a slow-motion music video or something. Going to shake my head, I dismissed the thought just in case I hit someone and they got the idea I did it on purpose.
Finally clearing the three steps that led to freedom at the end of the day, I quickly moved to the other side of the sidewalk, lest I got trampled. Before I could catch my breath fully, I heard a boisterous voice that gave credit to their even more boisterous personality.
"Bri Bri!!"
Smiling, I turned around and ran to the only person who would scream my name in the middle of the school's courtyard. When we got the same place, we squealed and jumped, before crushing each other in bear hugs. We hugged and moved around, jumping all over the place for a good thirty seconds. We didn't really care if anyone saw us or even judged us. We were sisters, soul sisters who were united by a strong bond.
Still laughing like maniacs, we both let each other go. Judging by the stupid grins on both of her faces we both were happy to see each other. Looking over my best friend, I was able to determine she was still the same from yesterday. She was still big in the butt, hips, breasts and stomach department. Not only that, but it seemed she didn't grow overnight, leaving her still chunky at only 5'2.
Playfully hitting my arm, she whined. "I ain't seen you in forever." She pouted.
Laughing at her antics, I swatted away her complaint. "We talked for hours on the phone last night," I told her, "hell, you even nearly used up all my minutes."
This time, she was the one swatting. "That doesn't count."
Playfully, I cocked my hip and mean mugged her. "Oh, really?" I asked.
Giggling, she nodded her head yes, just before reaching into her oversize black-purse. Peering quizzically into her bag, I saw her scourging her bag and overturning a million and one things. Finally, after an eternity, she pulled out a five-dollar bill. Knowing where this was going, I quickly stopped looking in her bag and immediately started to shake my head.
Exasperated, she shook her own head. "Girl, just take it." She pushed the money in my head, giving me a look that promised hell if I didn't take it.
Groaning, I deposited the money in my back pocket. "If I had got a job instead of an internship, I wouldn't have to take your handouts," I murmured.
"Internship?"
Hitting my forehead with my palm, I groaned at my stupidity. "Anne cakes, I really didn't tell you?"
"No," she answered in her usual snappy tone, planting her hands on her hips.
Beaming, I practically shouted the news. "Remember when I applied for a position of Helping hands?" I asked her, then continued on without waiting for a response, "well, they called me back, and I got the job!"
To my utter surprise, I wasn't exactly met by fanfare and hoopla when I told my best friend the happiest news I had in months. Masking my hurt with playfulness, I hit her arm and shrugged my shoulders in confusion at her actions. "Girl, ain't you happy for me?" I asked.
