Chapter 7
I walked down the school corridor, clutching the English test papers too my chest. Just as I was about to turn to use the stairs I spot my adopted little brother chatting to or more like stuttering to a girl.
"Busy?" the girl with curly brunette hair asks, Allison I believe her name is.
"No, no it's just my mom" he reassures "she's nothing... I mean, it's nothing. Uh.... "He scratches his head "I'm never too busy for you"
I chuckled under my breath. As I walk past the too, mumbling 'smooth' to Scott as I pass.
The warmness soon fades as I remember something similar happening with myself and a certain green eyed man when we were fifteen.
The only difference being the reversal of rolls, me being the stuttering girl filled with nerves and he the calm and popular jock. A small smile graces my lips as I think about us back then.
It was so simple before Paige... before Kate. It was easy it was nice.
I didn't mean to be so harsh on him.
He deserves it! He does....
I'm sure he does....
