Chapter Twelve

Clara couldn't concentrate. Every teenager in there seemed to have a personal vendetta against her ears.

They just wouldn't shut up and it was grating on her nerves.

She could hear Stiles and Scott talking from the back of the class room, they thought they were being quite they were wrong.

"Done. No more questions. No more talk about the Alpha or Derek. Especially Derek - who still scares me"

Clara glances at them from the corner of her eye, taking in the scene before her. Scott with his head turned around and Stiles leaning down towards him.

If she didn't know any better she would say it looks like there about to kiss.

She giggled inside her head at the incredibly gross mental image.

For the first time in a while Clara got to leave early. She managed to complete all her of markings during lunch time.

Thinking about the free time she would have before picking Violet up she hardly noticed when Stiles truck ran into something. Or someone.

Spinning on the spot she saw a familiar leather jacket fall as the owner crashes to the ground.

It was instinct, she told herself that made her run towards him. It was an injured man that's all that's the only reason.

He was pale, sweat poring down his face as he gazed at the only girl he ever loved.

"What the hell happend?" she demanded. Stiles finally reaches there side glancing at his sister and the man he has come to despise.

"You've gotta be kidding me. This guys everywhere!"

"What the hell? what are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here? that's what you say? hes hurt. Help me get him in the jeep!"

"Why aren't you healing?"

"Healing? what are you on about?" Clara was scared and confused and most of all angry. She didn't care what he had done to her in the past he was injured why the hell was Scott and Stiles not helping.

"Clara, maybe you should go"

"What?! no!"

Derek flinched at the tone in her voice and glanced up at her as her fingers absentmindedly weaved through his hair.

"You have to pick up Violet. Me and Scott can get him to the hospital and i promise we will ring you when we get there" Stiles pleaded, he didn't want to tell his sister, she needed to be kept safe her and Violet.

"I-its fine"

Clara looked into Derek's blue eyes, the same ones he shares with there daughter. She didn't want to leave him not in this state, but the pleading looks she was getting from all three men made her finally crack.

"okay" she stroked his sweaty cheek "as long as your sure"

Derek leaned into his hand, both ignoring the two around them. "I'm sure"

"Promise me you will take him straight to the hospital!"

"Yes of course"

Clara was in pieces. What she thought would be a peaceful evening turned out to be anything but.

Violet was content sitting in front of the TV watching her favourite episode of Paw Patrol and her mother was currently pacing back and force behind the sofa.

Glaring at her phone Clara had never felt such hatred towards a object before.

"Come on, come on"

"Mummy" Clara was too much in her head to hear Violet.

A tug at her skirt alerted her to the miniature presence at her side.

"Mummy"

"Yeah?"

"Door" her tiny finger pointing at the door added to the whine in her voice.

Finally looking over at it, the dark figure obscured by the glass moved as if shifting from foot to foot.

Derek Hale stood in front of his girls with the color back in his cheeks and less sweaty then earlier when Clara saw him.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!"

Derek flinched while Violet seemed amused.

"There is some things you need to know"
