Chapter Two

      After class Ryan and me walked to his car. Me and Bella already have clothes packed in our bags in case we can't go home. Usually when Bella and Nate skip school she shows up at Ryan's around five p.m. So I am not really to worried. He keeps her safe and makes her happy she deserves that much. I got in Ryan's car and threw my bag in the back. "So tell me, your stomach what happened?" Ryan looked at me briefly before starting the car. "Well you know how my mom leaves when he gets... mean.." I said. He nodded. "Well when she left he exploded chuncking knives at walls, throwing glasses on the ground, breaking pictures, whatever he got his hands on." I said quietly. He nodded again. "Well when he finished his fit I went to clean it all, He saw me said I had 10 minutes for it to be SPOTLESS." I said starting to fidget. "There was to much of a mess I didn't finish in time so he asked me if I liked to disappoint him and make him hurt me." I started to let tears fall. "I almost lost it, I went to say fuck you but as soon as I said fuck he was on my and pulled a knife on me.." I muttered. "I tried to fight back then he just said I know what'll make you a good little girl and cut my stomach open." I whimpered remembering the pain I felt. "Bella called a friend to take me to the hospital, We just told them that in the lake I was floating around and cut my stomach against beer bottles on the ground." I whispered. "Baby I am so sorry." He placed his hand on my thigh and rubbed my leg. "I wish you'd let me help... you can stay with me.." He whispered. "No. I cannot." I looked at him pleading with him to drop it. He sighed and took his hand away. We were both silent the rest of the way. I got out of the car and walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him. He leaned down and kissed me softly. Brushing the hair away from my face. "I love you. Thank you." I whispered to him. "I love you too!" He picked me up and put me over his shoulder. "Heyyy!" I laughed. He walked inside. "Mom Bell's and my girl are staying tonight." He yelled. "Ow!" I yelped when his shoulder dug into my stomach. "Sorry." He set me down with a big old grin on his face. "How is Bay?" His mom asked. "I'm fine ma'am just some daddy issues." I said. "Lemme see you Bay." She said. I walked into the kitchen and did a little twirl in my blouse and jeans. She smiled. "Beautiful as always. And stop calling me ma'am you make me feel so old! Call me Lily." She smiled. "Yes ma'am Lily." I giggled and Ryan's arms wrapped around my waist. "Mom he's been awful lately and she won't stay here." Ryan complained. "What happened?" Lily looked at me pointedly. "I cut my stomach up at the lake." I shot a look to Ryan. He lifted my shirt. "Dear god!" She yelled and rushed over to me. His mom is a nurse for the elderly. She checked it out. "Bay come on you need to leave there." She looked at me. "Your a good kid, this just isn't right." Ryan held me tightly and softly kissed my cheek. "I'll go set up the beds." He walked away slowly.

Bella's P.O.V.

    School just got out and me and Nate have been hanging out at the park discussing what's been going on. "Bella, you guys have to get out of there." He pleaded. "I know but we can't not yet." I kissed his cheek softly. "We gotta get going it's an hour drive to Ryan's. Are you staying?" I asked curiously. "I will if I can." He grabbed my hand and we walked to his car. He opened the door for me. "Thank you kind sir." I giggled and got in. "Your welcome my lady." He shot me an award winning smile that just makes your insides melt. He got in the car and leaned over to kiss me. I beat him to it and kissed him first. "I love you Bella." He looked at me. He wasn't lying you could tell by his eyes. "I love you too." I looked at him and hugged him tightly. He held me for a little while we just stayed like that. I pulled back and he headed over to Ryan's. I fell asleep against the window. "Baby get up, we are here." Nate shook me softly and kissed my cheek. I mumbled something incoherent. He got out and picked me up out of the car and carried me inside. "Bella's here but she's kinda tired Lily!" Nate yelled and carried me to the kitchen when he saw Lily looking at Bay's stomach. He held me tighter and Bay pulled her shirt down and ran out of the room. I hugged him and then got out of his grasp and ran after her. "Bay wait up." I found her crouched in the bathroom crying in the shower. "Hey Bay its okay." I looked at her. Immediately she acted like she wasn't even hurt. "I'm fine." She forced a smile and walked to Ryan's room.
