After the encounter with the mysterious Kuroo guy, Akaashi and Bokuto ate their food and didn't talk much. Every time one of the boys brought something up it was always very short and in a way pointless. Akaashi could tell Bokuto was uncomfortable with the situation so he didn't ask about it and left it alone. He wanted to ask what happened, and who really was that guy, but didn't think it was the time. Bokuto claimed they were 'just friend', but Akaashi could see through that.
They got up from eating at around 12:00 and started to head out the door. Akaashi thought Bokuto would maybe invite him back to his house or do some of the things Bokuto said he planned so they could hang out more, but he ended up waving goodbye with a dull smile and walked off heading for his home.
"Bokuto-san, what about the things you planned" Akaashi exclaimed with a weak smile, hoping to encourage Bokuto to not go home right away, but it didn't work out as planned.
"Maybe next time. I'm not feeling it anymore. I'll see you later."
Akaashi opened his mouth as to say something else, but Bokuto was already walking off again, so Akaashi did the same and walked in the opposite direction to his own house.
Walking home Akaashi felt as if the entire world was against him. He felt like throwing up. Despite the sunny day it appeared to be when they first arrived at the cafe, dark clouds started to fill the sky. It started to rain lightly, but Akaashi didn't mind getting wet. He was too concentrated on Bokuto to even notice the rain. He was the only thing on his brain.
Why is he acting so strange? What happened between them, and why can't he tell me? Aren't we sorta boyfr-
Akaashi's thoughts were cut off by a small black cat rubbing up against his foot.
Just my luck he thought as he lightly pushed the small cat away. It meowed quietly in the quiet street and ran off to a back alley. That's when the rain started to pick up. It went from small droplets to giant puddles falling from the sky. Akaashi, not known for running, ran pretty quickly to his home trying to get out of the rain. His home was right around the corner, so it didn't take him long. He pulled the key from under the mat and opened the door to enter the safe haven away from the rain. He may have been safe from the rain, but he still didn't feel happy okay.
Akaashi was an only child and his parents were away for business that week, so he was all alone. He slid off his shoes and headed upstairs to his room. He grabbed a few clothes and set his phone on his bedside table. He then went to the bathroom to rinse off all the heavy weight he felt on his shoulders, and the rain.
As he turned on the water and stepped in he started to think of Bokuto again. He was hoping that he'd text or call him while he was in the shower and tell him what happened. Bokuto told Akaashi everything so it was really worrying that he hadn't said it already.
••••••
Akaashi took a very long, hot shower so it was already 1:25pm when he got out the shower.
As the black haired boy dried his hair, now in a white v neck and gray sweats, he checked his phone for any notifications. The only ones were some likes and follows on Facebook, three twitter notifications from Kenma, and then one text from his mother.
Mother:
Hey hun! I hope you're doing alright with us gone. We love you!! See you in a couple of days 😘Bokuto still hadn't texted him, so he decided to text him first. The two boys text and talk often, but when Akaashi is the first to text (which happens on rare occasions), Bokuto replied within seconds, no matter what he's doing.
Akaashi didn't want it to seem obvious that he was worried or concerned, so he just sent him something simple.
Bokuto-san:
Hey.Really, Akaashi thought, that's the best you can do?
Bokuto-san:
Hey. What's up?Wow, much better.
After 10 minutes of thinking what else to say, Akaashi sent the message to the other. He still thought he should've said something more, but he didn't know what. He wasn't good with knowing what to say and bad times like this, so he figured this would be good enough.
Moments later Bokuto still hadn't replied. It was almost 30 mins later and Akaashi didn't know what else to do. He thought about calling, but he wouldn't really know what to say. So he laid on his bed and waited, he didn't have anything else to do. After several more minutes passed, Akaashi fell asleep.
••••••
Akaashi and Bokuto were walking in a park together. They were both smiling at each other, holding hands, and looking up at the bright sky, blue and clear. Then all of a sudden huge dark clouds started to fill the sky and and everything went dark. Akaashi turned towards Bokuto for safety only to find out that he was gone.
"Bokuto? Bokuto-san? Where are you?"
Akaashi frantically looked around in the dark when he finally saw a glimpse of light straight ahead of him. He saw Bokuto, but he was crying. Why is he crying?
Akaashi started to run towards him, but stopped when he saw a tall dark figure creep from behind Bokuto. The figure had a creepy smile and a weird, scary laugh. It was Kuroo. He was laughing as he started to pull Bokuto away into the darkness.
Akaashi started running again to save the other, but he just wasn't fast enough. He called out to, but Kuroo was covering his mouth so he could not reply.
Bokuto and Kuroo were almost gone when
*BANG* Akaashi woke up from the sound of a loud noise coming from downstairs. He was breathing heavily and was slightly confused after just waking up from a dream that felt too realistic.*BANG BANG*
The noise again brought Akaashi back to reality. The sound was coming from what seemed like the front door. Akaashi got up from his bed and walked to the front door. He wasn't sure who it'd be because no one usually visits him at this hour. He opened the door to Bokuto drenched in water from the rain that wouldn't let up.
"Can I come in?"
(A/N sorry for such a late update. I'll try to update more often! P.S. I do not hate Kuroo. I know I'm making him a dick, but remember it's fictional.)
