A few months later

            ~~Lauryn’s POV~~

It was just a few weeks before the One Direction concert and I was still without an outfit. So, I decided to call up my best friend, Linda, to go shopping.

After a few rings, she picked up the phone.

            “Hello?” she answered.

“Hey Linda. It’s Lauryn. I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping with me to go get the perfect outfit for the concert.” I asked, hoping she would agree.

“Oh, of course I will. I was needing to go get a cute sundress for my sister’s wedding.” She replied.

“Alright. I’ll be at your house in about 45 minutes.” I said.

“Alright, I’ll be ready then.” Linda agreed.

As I hung up the phone, I walked into my closet to find something cute to wear. Since it was somewhat warm outside, I decided on a cute grey sweatshirt with ‘love’ on it and a pair of black shorts, and to complete my outfit, I grabbed my white converse. Once I was dressed, I walked into the bathroom and straightened my hair, then brushed my teeth. Luckily, it only took me 20 minutes to get ready. I walked into my bedroom and grabbed my purse and my phone. I walked downstairs and grabbed my keys off the table by the front door. I locked the house and got into my black Dodge Challenger. I started up my car, it only took five minutes to warm up and then I was on my way to Linda’s house.

It didn’t take long to get there, since she only lived on the other side of town.

I arrived at her house and she was waiting on the porch. She was wearing a red Avengers t-shirt with some white shorts, finishing her outfit with some black converse. Her light brown hair was up in a messy bun.

“Hey!” she said, as she opened the passenger side door.

“Hey. Where are we off to?” I asked.

“Umm, how about we got to Rue 21?” she replied with a small smile.

“Rue 21 it is, then.” I agreed.

As we drove to Rue 21, which was 15 minutes away, we made small talk and listened to the radio. “So, are you excited about going to the concert?” she questioned, even though she knew the answer.

“Of course, I am. But, I just wished someone was going with me..” I gave her a quick glance. She rolled her eyes at me.

“You know that I can’t go. One, I don’t like going to concerts. And, two, my older sister’s wedding is the next day. So, I have to help her with last minute things.” She said.

“I know. I know.” I said, giving a small smile.

Once we arrived at Rue 21, I turned the car off and we both got out.

We walked in the store, to be greeted by a worker, who looked to be in her mid-twenties. “Hello there. Welcome to Rue 21. If you need any help, just ask.” She said with a smile.

We walked to the back of the store and started looking.

“So, what exactly are you planning on wearing?” Linda asked.
