Yurio has been in a coma for two months now, his heart is slowly losing its pace, everyone was freaking out and preparing for his funeral since they knew he wasn't gonna make it but Otabek never gave up hope and he went to see Yurio everyday after school, sometimes even skipping school to see him. Otabek sat down next to Yurio and began to tell the little blonde boy about his day, how nothing special went on and how he missed him oh so much how he wants to hold his hand and cuddle him and make sure everything's gonna be alright, tell him how he's gonna make it out of this and he's gonna be stronger than ever, he's gonna live and he's gonna one day marry Otabek and they're gonna have children or a child, if Yurio wants one or any for that matter. Otabek never gave up hope, until one fateful day.

Viktor, Yuuri, Mila, and Otabek were saying their goodbyes to Yurio as the monitor said his heart had stopped, Otabek still believed Yurio could make this and make it through, he just knew it. Otabek leaned close to Yurio's ear and whispered, "I love you.", which then made Yurio's heart start beating again somehow and everyone was in shock, especially Otabek, he then kissed the head of the blonde boy and smiled, "I'm so proud of you.", Otabek said to Yurio as if he could reply which returned him a slight smile in return which quickly faded, everyone including the doctors saw the response and knew that he was going to make it through this.

Otabek had to go home at night now because the doctor's couldn't risk anything Incase Yurio would die in his sleep, they didn't want Otabek there while it happened because the doctor's still had their doubts. It was late at night when Otabek heard a knock on the door to Yuuri & Viktors house, he was staying there for a while until Yurio woke up because Otabek had no one at home so Viktor and Yuuri let him stay there, they all thought it was just the doctor but it turned out to be someone more. someone closer to Yurio.
"Who's that at the do-", Otabek said as he walked downstairs to see a strange man sitting with Viktor, Mila, and Yuuri, "I'm Yuri's grandfather.", the man stated bluntly which put Otabek in shock but anger at the same time because he was shocked Yurio's grandpa was here but also angry that he wasn't there for Yurio when he was abused by his birth parents, Mila had to watch it all happen too so that made Otabek feel worse.
