*Young Do's POV*
Time went passed in silence as we stayed there till the sun set.

"Let's get you home now," I said, pushing the chair away as I stood.

"A little while longer..." She said under her breath, staring into space as she had been for the past five hours.

I shook my head firmly this time, "You need to rest, did you forget what Doctor Park said earlier?"

She didn't reply and stared for another five minutes before we finally left the classroom.

I followed behind her, watching her walk in a zombie-like state out of the school the same way we used to walk in.

Just as we were a few steps away from the car, she stumbled on her steps, "Eun Sang ah!" I caught her before she hit the floor.

"I-I'm fine," She mumbled, pulling away from me to the car.

This wasn't the Eun Sang I knew or... loved in the past and now.

She was bright, witty and in every way opposite of what she is now.

Other than her stubbornness that she still has, she was pretty much different. Eun Sang may run from her problems but she would choose to solve them when she couldn't keep running.

Yet right now, she's running even when she's on the verge of collapsing.

I turned to look at her every once in a while on the road, she had already drifted off to dreamland five minutes into the car ride.

When I thought she was fine, a crying whine came from my side. Stepping on the brakes gently, I stopped the car by the side of the road.

"Don't... leave me... Tan.. Kim Tan..." A tear rolled down her delicate skin on her cheek.

My heart ached, till now, she was still crazily loving him.

I raised a hand slowly, grazing my thumb over the trail left by it.

"Just once, will you call for my name instead of his?" I begged in a soft whisper, seeing her frowned brows unfold back to their original state.

Kim Tan, we made a promise, whoever got Eun Sang's love will protect and love her. Now that you've broken that, I will be the one that'll do that in your place. Before I do that, I will take her out of sadness and loneliness. I will take her away from you first.

*Eun Sang's POV*
I pushed open the door to our apartment, the cold dark living greeting me. Young Do wanted to walk me back but I rejected that and insisted there was no need to.

I walked to the table, placing the takeout box Young Do got while I was asleep in the car.

My stomach growled, reminding me that I- no- we haven't eaten anything since we left the hospital.

A buzz from my phone came from my handbag.

Remember to eat your dinner, you haven't ate anything since earlier -Young Do

I sighed lightly and grabbed a spoon, settling myself at the empty table before taking a bite of the food.

Once I was finished, I headed back to the room, washing up and changing out of my clothes before sleeping.

As I laid on the bed, I couldn't fall asleep.

Tossing and turning, until it was 3 am in the morning when sleep started to take over me.

Just as I shut my eyes to sleep, the front door clicked open.

Kim Tan's back. My mind told me, yet it was in a tone of hesitant and unsureness. Don't be silly, he's going to be excited to hear that he's finally going to be a Father! An inner voice argued.

My eyelids grew heavier despite my attempts at keeping them wide open to see Kim Tan.

He entered the room, talking on the phone to a client I supposed.

"Yes, I will be flying over soon, no worries," He said, going straight to the closet to pick out an already packed suitcase.

That perked me up from sleeping. Using my elbows, I quickly propped myself up from the lying position. He will be flying where?

His eyes flew to me the moment he exited the closet, "Eun Sang ah, you're awake? Did I wake you up?"

I clutched onto his forearms, causing him to sit next to me, "Where are you flying to?" I asked, not wanting him to leave.

He scratched his head, "You've heard?" He kept silent before opening his mouth to speak again. "I'm flying off to the States in less than two hours on a business trip," Tan switched his eyes from me to the watch on his wrist.

"Don't go please," I held onto his hand, "I need to tell you something-"

He pulled off my grip gently, "I'm sorry Eun Sang ah, I really have to go now. I'm running late for my flight,"

"Gajima (Don't go), please" I begged.

He placed a hand on my cheek, using his thumb to clean away a stray tear that I didn't know had rolled down my cheek.

"Why are you being like this? I'll be back before you know it, something cropped up there and I really have to be there," He explained, looking at me in the eyes. "I promised you didn't I? We'll have a family once the company is successful enough,"

Kim Tan then stood, pushing me gently back onto the bed, "Go to sleep, you look really tired,"

Right after he did so, he took the suitcase and left, leaving the apartment in complete silence and loneliness.

For some reason, a voice was pounding inside my head, It's not for business.
