*Young Do's POV*
"Mr Choi?" My assistant knocked on the office door.
I lifted my head from the table, feeling an ache pound at the back of my head.
I fixed my hair slightly, knowing that I looked disheveled right now. Grabbing the empty can of beer on my table, I threw it into the bin quickly. "Come in," I say, putting on my glasses to cover up my state even if it was just a little.
He walks in, "Are you okay, Sir?" He asks, looking concern.
I nodded.
"Have you not left the office at all since last night?" He questions again.
I looked at him, feeling irritated at his questioning that was worsening the headache rising at the back of my head, "I believe that has nothing to do with you, Mr Kim,"
He backs down, letting out a short sigh, "I understand, Sir. There is a meeting in the afternoon with the China branch general manager and the staff briefing in the evening," He briefs me on the schedule.
I nodded, waving my hand, signalling that he can leave already. The door closes with a click behind him.
I get up from the chair, heading to the attached bathroom in my office to wash up.
My mind flies back to the night before, the night of the wedding where Eun Sang disappeared all of a sudden. I shut my eyes, wondering when did I get so emotionally attached. Why couldn't I just find someone else instead?
"The meeting is about to begin, Sir," Mr Kim said from behind the door. I changed out of my shirt and threw the wet face towel onto the rack, exiting out of my office.
*Eun Sang's POV*
The mall was slightly crowded on a weekday afternoon, the shops were bustling with customers. My eyes landed on the baby clothing store, decorated in pastel blue and pink, filled with baby products. It was setting in. The fact that our family is going to change by having an additional member.
Unconsciously, my hands went towards the newborn's section onesies. I held up one of them that was white in colour, liking how the material was soft and comfortable to the touch. "Can I help you, Miss?" A staff donned in her uniform came over to me.
I nodded, "Is there more of these in other colours?"
She led me to the other corner, showing me the array of colours and designs just for newborns' clothing.
Before I knew it, she started recommending things to me. By the time I exited the store, I had multiple bags in my hands. Not to mention, that a few other items will be sent to the apartment.
Feeling tired already, I decided to head back home when my phone rang.
I placed the shopping bags down in the car and answered the incoming call. "Hello?"
"Are you and him okay now?" A familiar deep voice asked.
I pulled away and stared at the screen, "Young Do? What are you saying?"
"Just answer my question. Is Kim Tan treating you right now?" He asked, a firm tone in his voice.
Stepping inside the driver's seat, I switched on the engine after placing the phone between my right shoulder and ear. "We're fine. What about you, Young Do? Where did you go? Disappearing before I could say goodbye."
He let out a soft chuckle, "Felt tired and left first. Always caring for me huh?"
I rolled my eyes.
