Chapter Four
"I feel like shit!" I shout as I slam my book bag on the hard metaled lunch table. I take a seat in between Jenni and Lexie. Everyone looks at me, and they look scared at my sudden outburst. SO has some other people around the cafeteria. "What are you all staring at?". I snapped at the bunch of people I don't know. It was the next day at school, and I felt like ultimate crap.
They all quickly look away and go back to what their doing. I sighed, and ran a hand quickly through my hair, then rubbed my face tiredly.
"What's wrong?". Zach asked me, who was sitting across from me. Dani and him were holding hands, and she was staring at me worried, too.
"It's just... I literally feel like crap."
"What do you mean?" Lexie asks me leaning on the table with her elbows looking at me intently.
"Like..I kind of feel like how Mia felt yesterday, you know? Except I feel ten times worse than the way she acted. I have a headache, my chest hurts, and I'm sad, I feel like I'm going to break down and cry one moment, then I feel like killing someone the next if they look at me the wrong way." I see Zach and Mason automatically stare down at their food like it's the most interesting thing in the world, their gazes not meeting my eyes anymore.
Mia spoke up, "I'm sorry Carly, you know I don't really feel like that right now.." she shrugged her shoulders, then started whispering something into Drew's ear who was sitting right next to her.
Jenni kept staring at me with a smirk on her face. I was seriously annoyed with all the staring, so I finally snapped, ""What? What is it with people and staring lately?".
"When'd you start feeling like that?" she asked me.
I shrugged, "I don't know, sometime last night...after we left the diner."
"And you were completely fine before that? You didn't feel like that at all after school, before the diner? Just after the diner...after you met Nathan?".
I scrunched my eyebrows together, "Uhm, yeah. I only felt this way after the diner. I was completely fine before it." She started looking around the table and everyone's jaw was dropped. Except Mia who was just staring at Drew, and Aiden who was glaring at his food. "Am I missing something?..." I asked them all awkwardly.
"Holy shit..." Mason mumbled and looked at me, then around the room.
I looked at Zach who had half his food hanging out of his mouth, with his mouth wide open. I scrunched my nose and gave him a disgusted look, then he quickly fixed himself.
Jenni had the biggest smile on her face and I felt left out and completely confused. Lexie and Brianna squealed happily beside me. They spoke in hush tones, "We found our Luna!".
I turned to them, "You found your what?" I asked not understanding what they said.
They widened their eyes and shook their heads, 'nothing', the both rushed.
Then Jenni whispered to Dani over the table, "I'm gonna kill him when I get home!".
Do these people not know how to whisper properly?
"Aw.." I heard from across me. I look at Zach who has a smirk on his face, now fully composed of himself. "Chipmunk has no idea what the hell is going on." Dani punched him in the arm, then he scowled at her as he rubbed his arm in the place she punched him in.
Yes, for some reason Zach took the liberty to give me the nickname, 'Chipmunk'...That's not creepy at all.
I stuck my hands up in the air, "Then explain it." I suggested to them all.
