Chapter Five
It's been three days sense the day I left school early and came around to the store. I decided to pretend like nothing happend, and nothing going on, even though I still feel terrible. I feel like I ran into a brick wall.
It's Friday so I'm happy, because tomorrows the weekend. I was at my locker putting my books in, when Mia runs over to me. It was in between passing period and I just needed my geometry book.
She had the biggest smile on her face, and it made me happy knowing my sister was happy. She brush her long brown hair out of her face and behind her shoulder and she had a special glint in her eye.
"Guess what happened to me this morning?" she squealed happily causing me to look our way in the halls.
I replaced my history book for geometry book as I asked her, "What?".
She started jumping up and down before opening her own locker beside mine, and whispered/ shouted to me, "Drew asked me out on a date for tonight!".
For some reason hearing that made me sadden, don't get me wrong want them to be together, but it made me sad because I don't have that.
I smiled at her, "That's great, Mia... Just don't use him like the others, I think he really likes you." I gave he a warning look. Drew is a very good friend of mine, and I know my sister. She likes to breaks guy's hearts left from right.
She shook her head, "It's different with him, Carly. I mean it. I know I haven't know him for long but, he's... special."
I shrugged and pulled her in for a hug, "I'm happy for you, Mia."
We let go of our hug and we started to talk about what she was going to wear for tonight. I was giving her good tips, but then I saw someone walking by from the corner of my eyes. I gasped and slammed my locker door shut and rushed over to Aiden.
I blocked his way from walking and I immediately grabbed his face. I pulled him down so that I can look at his bruise closely. Aiden had a huge black eyes and a bunch of scratches and bruises o his face.
He groaned and tried to move away from me but I glared and blocked his way. "What the hell happen to you?".
He shrugged his shoulders, " It's nothing.".
I shook my head, "No. It's not nothing! Now tell me, what happened?".
I was staring him in the eyes waiting for him to speak, I was worried, who the hell kicked his ass. I mean Aiden is a big guy, I figured he can take anybody in a fight.
"Just a stupid fight with my brother. It was only play..." he trailed off, but I didn't believe him. When you play fight with people you don't end up with bruises like that!
For some reason I started to worry for Nathan. I wanted to know if he was okay, and I hoped he wasn't hurt like Aiden. Yet I couldn't help but be slightly impressed with Nathan- No! Scarlet, he beat up Aiden! You should not like him right now.
"Is Nathan okay?", I couldn't help but ask.
I saw his expression harden and he looked emotionless. He scoffed, "Of course, you worry about Nathan."
I brush some of my hair than fell in my face behind my ear, "I was just asking, I mean you said you were both in a fight. It was just curiosity."
He looked at me intently before asking me, "Do you have any feelings for my brother?".
I looked at him in disbelief, I'm not a whore, I don't know Nathan!, "Of course not! I don't even know him, plus he has a girlfriend! I'm not that type of girl. And he's like eight years older than me and I'm a minor. It would be completely illegal."
