Jack's POV

We were walking around the grounds during break a few weeks after detention. Nothing much has happened except for exams which we just finished. I believe I passed every subject, I had Hermione's help in studying for History though. Harry seems to have just realized something and started marching towards Hagrid's hut. "Want's wrong Harry?" Ron asks.

"Don't you think it's strange that Hagrid wanted most in the world was a dragon egg. Then a stranger comes by and happens to have one. Why didn't I see it before?" Harry states/asks. We reached Hagrid's hut and he was outside playing with a flute. "Hagrid who gave you the dragon egg?" Harry asks him.

"Want did he look like?" I add.

"I don't know, I never saw his face he kept his hood up" Hagrid replied.

"Want did you talk about? You and he must have talked" Harry and I state. For once Ron didn't comment on our unison. He understands how important this is as does Hermione.

"Well he asked want sort of creatures I looked after and I told him after Fluffy a dragon's going to be no problem" Hagrid states.

"Did he seem interested in Fluffy?" Harry asks.

"Well of course he was interested in Fluffy, how often do you come across a three headed dog? Even at Hogwarts" Hagrid asks/states. "I told him this the trick with any beast is to know how to calm him. Take Fluffy for example just play a bit of music and he'll fall straight a sleep" Hagrid states. "I shouldn't have told you that" he says as we run towards the castle.

Since we don't know where Dumbledore's office is  (I didn't tell the others I have been there) we run to McGonagall's class room. "We have to see Professor Dumbledore, immediately" Harry says as we reached McGonagall's desk where she was marking tests.

"I'm afraid that is not possible he received an urgent message from the ministry and left for London" she tells us.

"He's gone, but this is important it's about the Philosopher's Stone" Harry and I tell her.

"How..." McGonagall starts, but Harry cuts her off.

"Someone's going to try and steal it" he states.

"I don't know how you know about the stone, but it is perfectly safe" McGonagall states and looks at me. I shake my head slightly and the others didn't notice. "Now it is a beautiful day go outside or return to your dormitory, quietly" she tells us sternly. We leave her office Harry leading the way to Gryffindor tower.

"That wasn't any stranger Hagrid meet it was Snape which means he knows how to get past Fluffy" Harry tells.

"And with Dumbledore gone" Hermione starts as a shadow falls over us.

"Good afternoon, now want would four young Gryffindors like yourselves be doing inside on a day like this?" Snape asks we faced him.

"We were..." Hermione and I start trying to think of a lie.

"You ought to be careful, people will think you're up to something" Snape states looking at Harry and I before gliding away.

"Now want Harry?" Ron asks and we all look at my brother.

"We go through the trap door tonight" Harry states. With that we go back to Gryffindor tower to get some sleep before then. I decided to study instead in the common room by the window. Waiting for the others to return.
