Chapter Five

Hello again,

Sorry I just left you on a cliffhanger like that, but...actually I'm not sorry. It's my journal, so deal. Anyways where was I? Oh yes!

I'm not going to go into great detail about what my first night with Cameron was like...but damn! He was good. I totally understood why every girl in school was obsessed with him. He made me feel things I never knew I could! And the way he touched me...it was just amazing. He was gentle. He was rough. He was slow. He was fast. Every move he made seemed to contradict the move before. The one thing that never changed was that no matter what he did, I enjoyed it.

That next morning, after our fantastic night, I woke up, rolled onto my side and saw him completely asleep. He looked so peaceful laying there with no shirt on and his chest exposed. He was laying on his back with his arms under his head, allowing me to completely take in every muscle he contained. Which were a lot! After checking him out for several minutes, I had to fight the urge to touch him, so I forced myself to get up and get dressed so I could make my way downstairs. As I reached the bottom of the stairs the smell of coffee overtook me, leading me to the kitchen, where I found Jenna.

"Have a good night?" She asked smirking over the top of her coffee cup.

"You have no idea." I told her with a smile on my own face as I poured my coffee.

"Oh I think I do. I'm pretty sure it runs in the family." She informed me as I took a seat across the table from her.

"Is this how most of your weekends go?" I asked her thinking back to the night before and how comfortable everyone was.

"Pretty much." She nodded before smiling as if she were remembering something that made her happy, before she continued. "This summer, I stayed at their house a few nights a week. But during the school year we spend most weekends here, to avoid anyone seeing us." She finished with a slight frown.

"And you don't mind not being able to go out." I questioned, thinking it must suck to have to stay at home all the time.

"Well, I'd much rather be able to take my girlfriend to dinner or to a movie or just on a date in general, but I can't. If someone saw us, I'd lose my job, go to jail, and she'd probably be kicked out of school. So, until she graduates, this is how it'll be. It's been going good so far." She finished with a sad expression and I could tell she was lost in deep thought.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, both of us just thinking, until Jenna interrupted my thoughts.

"He really likes you, ya know." She informed me with a small smile.

"Does he not like many people?" I questioned.

" Well, I'll put it this way, the only people he like are in this house right now."

"What about his family?" I asked thinking he must have other people he liked.

"You already know he doesn't care for his parents too much, and well, his parents pretty much raised them without any knowledge of other family members. It's complicated." She finished shrugging her shoulders.

"You two done talking about me?" I heard his voice behind me, startling me. My eyes went wide as I looked at Jenna, but she just smiled and answered him.

"No, but I guess we'll stop now since you're here. Can't really talk about someone behind their back if their back isn't exactly turned." She said simply as she got up to refill her coffee while Cameron took a seat next to me. I felt myself grow nervous, feeling his gaze on me. My breath caught in my throat as I felt him lean in closer to me.

"I'll tell you anything you want to know. You don't have to talk about me behind my back." He whispered in my ear in a harsh tone.

After that I remained silent while he and Jenna engaged in easy conversation. I'm not sure what they talked about, I was lost in my own thoughts. I'm pretty sure the topic of breakfast came up though, because I was brought out of my thoughts by his voice low and rough in my ear.

"Breakfast is ready." He almost growled as he sat a plate in front of me before sitting next to me with his own plate. I glanced over at him and saw he was already digging into his food, not wasting any time. A chuckle escaped my mouth as he missed his mouth causing food to fall all over his lap. His head quickly snapped to my face, before a real smile spread across his face and he simply shrugged as he began cleaning himself.

"Hungry?" I teased, still laughing.

"Yeah, I used up a lot of energy last night." He countered, making me turn bright red and hide my face in my hands. He simply reached up and took my hand in his and winked at me before continuing his breakfast.

It's the little things he does that get me. Like his wink. Or even a smile across the room. Whenever our eyes ever meet they contain a small sense of knowing, and it just excites me. It was that way when we first met and it's still that way.

Anyway, after our breakfast, Cameron decided to take me for a walk behind Jenna's house so we could talk.

Let me tell you about Jenna real quick, both of her parents are gone. They died when she was young and she was raised by her grandparents. Her grandparents and her parents were extremely wealthy, so when her parents died their money got put into an account for her. Her grandparents are still alive and she goes to see them every Sunday. Her house is amazing. She pretty much lives out in the middle of nowhere. She has no neighbors for miles and is mostly surrounded by trees. Needless, to say, Jenna is loaded.

Anyways, we walked in silence for quite a while. But it wasn't an awkward silence, it was kind of nice. I was able to let my mind run free with thoughts of him. I began to think about how he met Jenna, and before I knew it I was asking him.

"How did you meet Jenna?" I questioned, causing him to stop walking and look at me.

He slowly raised one eyebrow, and began to smirk before answering. "She was my English teacher last year...." He reminded me, like I had dementia or something.

"That's not what I meant. I meant how did you two become so close? Seems like y'all are best friends?" I said the last part as a question, hoping he'd answer.

"I knew what you meant. I was just being an ass. And yes she is my best friend." He paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "She basically invited herself over for dinner one night, so she could meet my parents. I guess she could tell something was off with me, just like you did. She noticed my behavior in class and wanted to find out what was up with me." He paused briefly to let a small chuckle escape his lips. "Anyways, the dinner was planned, Victoria and I were in the middle of cooking when Jenna showed up early. My parents had promised they would spare 20 minutes if we had it cooked and ready by the time they got there. Jenna came in and we told her our parents were at work, but that they would be home soon." This time he paused to roll his eyes before continuing. "Well, our parents never showed...so it was just us three eating. I think about halfway through dinner, Jenna asked if we needed to call to make sure our parents were okay. And that's when I pretty much lost it. I slammed my fists on the table and said 'They're fucking fine, they just care more about themselves than they do us.' And walked out of the room, leaving Victoria and Jenna alone. At some point while I was in the kitchen trying to calm myself down, Jenna had walked in and put her hand on my shoulder and said 'You have a lot of anger inside you. I know how to help you with that' before leaving. And ever since then, she has helped me with my anger." When he finished, he was looking off into the distance and took another deep breath before looking directly at me again.

At some point while he was telling me this, I reached out and held his hand. I really wanted to just hug him for some reason. In school he was this indestructible king of the school, but as I stood there in front of him and looked into his eyes, he looked like he would break into a million pieces. And that is when I vowed to be what held him together. No matter what it cost me.

I think this is a pretty good stopping place.

Until next time,

Rebecca.

So....I finally updated. That's chapter 5. Whatcha think??
