Light And Fire [Chanbaek]

Chapter 2

Kris opened the door to his room and saw Chanyeol, his roommate, laying on his bed with earbuds in.

Kris walked up to him and took out the earbuds.

"Yah, what was that for?" Chanyeol said annoyed.

"What was with you at dinner?" Kris asked. "Why didn't you introduce yourself to Baekhyun?"

Chanyeol tried to grab the earbuds back from Kris but no use. Kris started to fly up to the ceiling of the room since the rooms have tall ceilings, it was out of Chanyeol reach.

"Ha ha very funny Kris, now give them back!"

"Not until you answer my question. Why didn't you introduce yourself?" Kris repeated.

"Second thought I don't need my earbuds." Chanyeol said as he grabbed his jacket and walked out the door.

Why is he avoiding the question so much? Kris thought as he floated back down and set the earbuds on Chanyeol's bed.

Baekhyun and Tao walked in their room to find an envelope on Baekhyun's bed.

"Does someone already have a crush on you?" Tao teased.

"No, it's just my class schedule. The headmistress said it would be here when I got back from dinner."

"Lets see what classes you got."

Baekhyun opened up the envelope and looked at the paper. He classes were:

1st Period : English
2nd Period : Math
3rd Period : Free Time
4th Period : Lunch
5th Period : Power History
6th Period : Science
7th Period : Power Practice

Tao looked over the classes with Baekhyun.

"Not bad, we have English, Free Time, Lunch, and Power Practice together."

"How come Power Practice is only Monday, Wednesday, and Friday?" Baekhyun wondered.

"Because if you have it everyday you can get very tired out." Tao explained. Baekhyun nodded.

"I'm going to get some fresh air." Baekhyun said.

Chanyeol was walking and trying to think of how to answer Kris' question.

It had already gotten dark out and started to get a little chilly.

While Chanyeol was walking he heard someone crying and saw the boy that made Chanyeol feel weird inside.

Baekhyun was sitting on the ground with his hand holding his right calf while crying.

"Baekhyun?" A deep voice called his name. When Baekhyun looked up to see where the voice can from, he saw Chanyeol.

"Yah I am fine." Baekhyun stood up while wiping his tears away. Then he shivered.

Chanyeol took off his jacket and handed it to Baekhyun. "No it's ok, I'm good." Baekhyun said.

"No you're not, you're shivering."

Baekhyun took the jacket and put it on. "What about you, won't you get cold?"

"My power is fire, so I'm good." Chanyeol said. "Just give me my jacket back tomorrow."

Chanyeol started to walk off and so did Baekhyun in the opposite direction.

"Are you going to answer me now?" Kris asked when Chanyeol walked in the door. "Hey, didn't you have a jacket when you left?"

"I gave it to someone because they were cold. But they better give it back tomorrow."

"Who did you give the jacket too?" Kris asked.

"The same guy that you are asking me questions about."

"Baekhyun?!" Kris said surprised.

"Yes, no need to get worked up." Chanyeol said while going to sit on his bed.

"You never do something nice for people. Are you sick or maybe you're love sick." Kris teased.

"You're the one that is love sick. When are you going to ask out Tao? It's obvious that you like him."

Kris blushed. But snapped out of it. "Hey! You are avoiding my question again."

"Fine, no I am not love sick. I could careless about him. Anyway I just saw him sitting next to a tree crying and shivering, so I gave him my jacket."

"Why was he crying?"

"I don't know but he was holding his right calf. Why do you ask so much questions? The only question that you should be asking is 'Will you go out with me?' to Tao."

"Good night, Chanyeol."

"Oh so now you're the one avoiding the question." Chanyeol laughed.

"Good night, Chanyeol!"

"Ha ha, good night Kris."

Baekhyun opened the door to see Tao getting in bed.

"Oh hey you're back." Tao said as he sat up. He looked at Baekhyun. "Who's jacket is that?"

"Chanyeol's."

"Chanyeol?! Why do you have his jacket."

"He gave it to me since he saw me shivering. Nothing special."

Baekhyun started to get ready for bed when Tao asked, "Do you like him?" Baekhyun looked at him and shook his head.

"Ok, good night, Baekhyun."

Baekhyun crawled in bed. "Good night, Tao."

All he could see was black. All of a sudden gunshot noises were ringing in his ears. Then the sound of crying, looking around he saw no one. Then more gunshots. Then a boy that looked around 16 years old ran in front of him and grabbed his shirt. "Please help me!" The boy cried. He saw blood on the boy's right calf. He couldn't tell who it was since the face was blurred out.

The boy disappeared and he saw fire. He heard a woman yelling to 'get out' and 'get away from her'. Another boy around the same age as the boy before appeared and so did the woman. The boy pleaded "Don't do it!" He grabbed her wrist to stop her but he burned her. "Please mom, don't kill him and his family!" Same with before he couldn't see their faces because it was blurred. They disappeared and it was black again.

Tao woke up.
