Light And Fire [Chanbaek]

Chapter 4

Tao and Kris were walking together to their next class, Science.

"What do you think was up with Chanyeol after Baekhyun looked at Minho?"  Kris asked.

"I don't know but I did see Baekhyun and Minho blush after they saw each other."  Tao said.

They stopped talking about it when they walked into class.

Baekhyun was walking to Power History when all of a sudden Minho appeared next to him.

"Hi Baekhyun."

Baekhyun jumped a little but calmed down when he saw it was only Minho.  "Hi Minho.  What class are you going to?"

"Power Practice."

"Cool, well have fun."  Baekhyun said as he reached his class.

"Bye Baekhyun."  Minho said as he walked off.

Baekhyun walked into the classroom and he took a sit.  As the teacher came in.

The class was pretty boring.  He was just talking about the groups of powers.

The Elementals - Fire, Water, Earth, Air
The Sub-Elementals - Lighting, Frost
Mind - Time, Flight, Teleportation, Healing, Telekinesis
Balance - Light, Dark

When Power History was done he went to Science but that was just boring.

Baekhyun came out of the Science room and saw Tao and Kris.

"Hey guys."  Baekhyun greeted them.

"Hi Baekhyun ready for Power Practice?"  Tao asked.

"Cool were all in the same class."  Kris said.

"I heard that we will be fighting each other."  Tao said.

They all walked outside to a building that was just for Power Practice.

As Baekhyun walked inside there was a large area.  That must be where you battle.  And on the right up top there was a second floor looking over the area.

They all took a seat on the second floor where everyone else was.

Since Baekhyun was new everyone introduced themselves.  His classmates were Tao, Kris, Chen, Kai, Xiumin, Kyungsoo, Suho, Lay, Sehun, Luhan, and Chanyeol.

The teacher explained that yes they will be fighting each other for their first lesson.  He told the order of the battles.

Suho vs. Lay
Kai vs. Kyungsoo
Luhan vs. Sehun
Xiumin vs. Chen
Tao vs. Kris
Baekhyun vs. Chanyeol

I have to fight him but I don't want to hurt him.  Tao and Kris both thought.

The teacher gave everyone a necklace to put on.  The necklaces had a gem attached to it.

"You must take the gem from the other person to win the battle."  The teacher explained.

The battles began.

Suho vs. Lay
Suho won.

Kai vs. Kyungsoo
Kyungsoo won.

Luhan vs. Sehun
Sehun won.

Xiumin vs. Chen
Xiumin won.

Tao vs. Kris
Tao won.

Baekhyun vs. Chanyeol

Both Baekhyun and Chanyeol stepped in the battle field.

"And start."  The teacher yelled.

Chanyeol throw a couple fire balls at Baekhyun but he dodged them.  Chanyeol then was going to make a ring of fire around Baekhyun but he was blinded.

Baekhyun remembered back to Power History and what the teacher said 'if you use your power too much you can get tired then your power will stop.  Same goes for a powerful spell it drains a lot of your energy but if you are strong you can keep the spell up.  And once it is gone you have to wait for your power to be fully charged again.'

Chanyeol vision was blurred for a second when he was blinded but his sight came back shortly after.  He looked around wondering where Baekhyun went then he felt a tap on his shoulder.  He turn around to be face to face with a smiling Baekhyun.

Baekhyun did a low spin kick and Chanyeol fell to the ground.  Baekhyun was also skilled in hand to hand combat.

Chanyeol grabbed a hold of Baekhyun foot, making him also falling to the ground.  He tried to grab the necklace but was stoped when a light beam hit his hand making him back off.

Baekhyun and Chanyeol both stood up facing each other.  Baekhyun quickly grabbed the necklace and before Chanyeol he grabbed it the match was over.

Baekhyun won.

"Good match."  Baekhyun said out of breath while holding out his hand for Chanyeol to shake it.

But Chanyeol just looked a Baekhyun's hand and said, "What ever."  Then walked way.

"Good job, Baekhyun."  Chen said as he went back to the second floor.

"Yah, never seen Chanyeol lose before.  It's weird, he looked like he was going easy on you because he will usually use his power more."  Kai said and they all nod.

Was Chanyeol going easy on me? If he was, why?

"Are you ok?"  Kris asked Chanyeol when he walked into the room.

"Yah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Well first off, I heard you being rude to Baekhyun this morning when he gave you back your jacket.  Second, you looked pretty upset when Baekhyun looked at Minho at lunch, yah don't think I didn't see that.  Third, you were going easy with the match with Baekhyun.  Do you like him or something?"

"No, I don't like him.  And I didn't think I was rude when he gave me back my jacket.  I was not upset when Baekhyun and Minho looked at each other.  And I was feeling tired so my power wasn't as strong today, it has nothing to do with Baekhyun."

"Ok ok, just get ready for dinner."  Kris said and Chanyeol nodded.

Baekhyun was walking alone since Tao decided to walk with Kris so they left a little earlier.

He was walking when he felt a tap on his shoulder.  He turned around to see Minho.

Chanyeol was walking to dinner when he spotted Baekhyun and Minho talking so he hid behind a tree just close enough to hear their conversation.

"I was wondering, what are you doing during Free Time tomorrow?"  Minho asked.

"Nothi-" Baekhyun was cut off when a noise came from behind a tree.

Shit!  Shit!  Chanyeol mentality scream at himself.

Baekhyun went to look behind the tree and saw Chanyeol standing there.

"Chanyeol?!"  Baekhyun asked, surprised.  "What are you doing here?"

"What I'm not allowed to stand by a tree."  Chanyeol said as he quicking walked away and hoping that Baekhyun didn't see how red his face was.

Baekhyun saw his red face and he felt something in his heart.
