Risum's POV (Rose)

What was going on? Why did that... That thing appear here, wherever here is? Should I ask that person in the distance? Is that even a person? What if they kill me? What if I'm erased from existence? What if... I... I guess it might be good if I died. With the amount of blood on my hands, maybe I should die...

No! I can't think like that! If I die, good. If I live, I'm okay with that too. So I'll go see what's going on. The worst thing that could happen is if I'm stuck here forever. And even then, that means nobody else will die.

Okay. So I'll just go to that person over there, and no matter what happens, I deserve the consequences. Who knows how many people I've killed?

Filled with determination, I began walking towards whoever was in the distance. As I got closer, their features became clearer and clearer. I figured out that it was a girl, and she had dark brown hair that stopped just above her shoulders. She was wearing the same clothes as me, a dark green shirt with red orange pants.

Soon, I was right behind her. Her shoulders were shaking violently, almost as though she was crying. Hesitatingly, I tapped her shoulder. That was when she froze.

"W-Who are yo-ou?" she asked, her voice shaking almost as much as her shoulders had been.

"Um, hi! I'm Rose... Are you okay?" I replied.

"Rose?" She turned around? "Rose!"

I stared at her in shock. No way... It couldn't be... Lilly? She was alive? Then why wasn't she with us when... When mom died...

Suddenly, a laugh tore through my head, and Lilly disappeared.

Homicidal Liu's POV

By the time Sully had cleaned up the mess outside, I had finished figuring out my plan for saving Jeffery.

"Hey, Liu, can I go kill somebody now?" Sully asked, impatient, "I cleaned up."

Sighing, I replied with with a simple, "Yes," knowing that he had probably done a sloppy job. As Sully cheered in the background, I realised just how stressed I was. "Hey, Sully, you think I could kill a couple people too this time?"

Sully stopped cheering, presumably out of shock. I hadn't killed anybody recently, not really. It was always Sully who finished the job. But I needed to get rid of the weight on my shoulders, so I figured I might as well do this.

"Liu..." he started, "Are... Are you okay?" I smiled grimly.

"Yeah. Just a little stressed. No need to worry." I reassured him. "Hey, let's go find a victim."

Sully took a second before sighing and walking away from the house we were staying in, heading for the trail by the forest. "You really surprise me sometimes, ya know."

A grin emerged on our face. "Not that I care, heh. Let's go kill somebody."

As we walked into the night, playing with our favorite knife, I saw the first of our victims. She was jogging on the sidewalk, towards the forested area, oblivious to our presence. She had on an orange hoodie, and seemed unarmed. Slowly, I began to trail her.

Slipping behind convenient trees when necessary and doing my best to step lightly, I managed to keep my presence hidden. The woman continued jogging until she reached the trail. Then she looked back, and I was forced to hide behind a random tree.

When I glanced around the tree, she was gone. I smiled. Lots of people tried this when they realized someone was following them. They thought they could get away from me by running into the forest, near the trail. Some even tried hiding in the bushes. It was ridiculous, really. How effective is hiding when adrenaline is racing through your veins and you fight or flight instinct has been activated? After all, the fear makes them breathe heavily, giving away their presence.
