Ch. 32: Birthdays, Advice, & Lisa Marie

I was out of the public eye ever since my twins were born. That was a total of 5 months. Cheyenne and I made a deal that I would begin dancing daily and modeling again. I began working on a new film called Isadora. This film was an autobiography about the celebrated American dancer, Isadora Duncan. I luckily got the main role as Isadora, and I was very excited to be in a project that had two things I liked: acting and dancing. 

I finished filming in early January, just in time to plan one big birthday celebration for Joshua, Rita, and I. It was finally the year where I decided that we would celebrate the children's birthdays together until they got older and wanted their separate parties with friends. 

James luckily didn't have a game on January 10th, so it worked out perfectly. Family and close friends came to the party to help celebrate. I invited Elvis, but didn't expect him to show up. But surprisingly, he did! He brought 3 huge gifts and 1 envelope for the children and I. He couldn't believe I was already 26, while Joshua was turning 5 and Rita was turning 3 in a couple of days.  

Elvis: "I remember the day I met you... Jacksonville, Florida, 1955. You were only thriteen years old, and I thought you were 16 or 17. You were one good-looking teenager! Probably one of the best things that has happened to me. I remember it was after my concert, and we talked for a long time. Kathleen and Evelyn didn't say a word. Ain't that somethin[? It was just you and me."

Me: "Oh yes, I remember. Meeting you definitely changed my life for the better Elvis. Now 12 1/2 years later, we're still close. I've been married for 7 1/2 years now, and have 5 amazing children. You've seen my children and I grow into something beautiful."

Elvis: "Time flies quickly! The next thing you know, we'll be grandparents!" 

Me: "Goodness Elvis! My children are still young, while you're son or daughter hasn't been born yet! Let's take this step-by-step before we're waiting for our kiddos to have children of their own."

Elvis laughed at my comment, but he knew it was true. It would be a while until our children married and had kids of their own. Elvis liked to imagine a lot of things and situations though. 

I surprised Elvis with a cake, and we eventually somewhat had a cake fight outside! As soon as Elvis blew out his candles, Judy Spreckels and I gently pushed him into his cake! We quickly got out of there, but Elvis was going to get his revenge somehow! 

Elvis: "I'm gonna find ya gals! You can't hide from me!" 

Judy and I were hiding behind bushes, and quietly whispering. 

Judy: "You know he's going to find us!" 

Me: "The worst he can do is cover us with his whole cake... I know he won't do that." 

Elvis heard Judy giggling and got her in the face with a piece of cake. I slowly backed away from him with a smile on my face. Joshua and Rita were encouraging Elvis to put some cake on my face, but he simply dabbed icing on my nose and kissed my cheek with cake. We then got back to the party and cut everyone's cake. Remember, there are 2 large cakes, and 2 small cakes for Joshua and Rita. 

The kids were playing games inside the house, while some adults watched them and others were outside sipping some wine or just talking. James and Jack organized a football game for the boys, while Madison, Judy, Elizabeth, and I planned a princess dress up tea party for Rita and her friends.
