Nathan's ears rung as he opened his eyes, his head still throbbed from the pain. He groaned loudly, coughing a bit. He tried to get up, but something was holding him back. Then he looked down. He was not only tied to a chair with rope, but also with duct tape. There was no getting up. He was in a dark room. The room was made of a grey stone, and pipes were above him. Not much else was in the room, besides another chair across from him and a door. He tried to scoot the chair closer to the door, but he couldn't. He assumed that the chair was nailed to the ground. The room was cold, and Nathan figured the room didn't have any heating. That or this woman was actually a total bitch who wanted Nathan to die of hypothermia. Nathan shut his eyes, hoping that he could go back to sleep.

Mysterious House

30 minutes earlier

Thomas widened his eyes, trying to wake himself up. Where was he? The room was covered with black panels, and no light except for a lamp was in the room. Across from him was a chair, and he was tied up. This must've just been a fantasy of his, except usually in his fantasies he's not the one being tied up. A door opened and shut, and then the woman from before came in through a sheet. He had only gotten a glance at her earlier, but now he saw her better. Something about her made Thomas uneasy, but he wasn't sure what it was. She had no weapon in her hands, and she looked very calm. Why was he so nervous? She sat down across from him, blazing her eyes into his.

"Sir, who are you?" her voice was sharp, yet calming. Thomas didn't want to lie, but he didn't want to expose Nathan if he wasn't supposed to. So he did the only thing he knew how to do. He compromised.

"Funny, I ask myself that everyday! Like, who am I even really? Am just some other kid? Or am I different? Do I make others happy, or am I just pretty annoying and sad? I dunno who I am, but I guess that's part of being human, right?" He smiled, shutting his eyes, hoping that his cheery and clever comeback wouldn't piss her off. The woman giggled a bit, and then leaned in close.

"I've got you in a locked room, tied up, and here you are making jokes? Honey, you are in no position to be making jokes. You should just answer my questions. Anyone who isn't useful to me deserves to die. Okay?" Thomas' heart quivered. He couldn't tell. It could get Nathan into trouble. The only thing he could do at this point is lie.

"Okay! My name is Leo. Leo Glades. I'm a-" His lies were cut out by the woman laughing heartily at him, and then calming down to a snicker. She raised and eyebrow and then spoke.

"Leo Glades, huh? Because I know who you are. Nice try though, pretty boy. You're Thomas. Nathan's best friend. Well, that's how you view yourself. Nathan, however, thinks different." His heart skipped a beat. Nathan thought different? What did she mean by that? And how did she know who he was? She was probably just fucking with him, right? She could've known his name because she went through their stuff when they were knocked out. And that whole Nathan has different feelings was just a way to fuck with his mind, right? Right. But what if- No. Thomas couldn't let that thought come to mind. Nathan was his best friend, and Nathan would never hate him. Nathan would never, no, could never, have any bad feelings about him. Right?

"Nope. I'm Leo. No idea who this Thomas guy is." She sat back and sighed, smiling.

"Man, I'm gonna have a hard time with you, aren't I?" The woman got up, looking down at the boy with light blue eyes.

"Guess so." He smiled wide, knowing that she wouldn't break him. However, that was before she gave a quick slap to his face with the back of hand, causing cuts due to her sharp rings on her fingers. His face stung with pain, and blood began to trickle down.
