Hikaru led Mikan through the maze making sure she didn't fall for any of the traps left by the giant. Mikan soon became lost in her thoughts. She began thinking of Natsume's whereabouts and if Akito had made it back okay. Then she began to think of the girl that Akito had mistaken her for. Her thoughts soon came out.

Mikan: Sana?

Hikaru: Hm?

Mikan: N-nothing. Never mind.

Mikan couldn't help but wonder...who was Sana? Why was she so important to Akito? It soon became clear who Sana was. Mikan remebered the image of Natsume kissing another girl by the tree that Natsume was usually at. Tears filled Mikan's eyes as she got lost in thought. Soon, there were so many tears that Mikan could no longer see. She bent down and hugged her knees as a waterfall of tears slid down her cheeks and onto the cracked surface of the maze. Hikaru soon noticed Mikan and he turned around and walked back to her. He knelt down beside her as he tried to think of something to say to her.

Hikaru: Why are you crying? I'm helping you through this maze. Isn't that enough? Or is this about that Natsume guy? You know, the one you mistook me for.

Mikan: Why would he make me think he liked me if he never actually did? I bet he just kisses every girl like that.

Hikaru: Look, I don't know what you're talking about but I doubt any guy would ever pretend to like you. Its not like your unlikeable.

Mikan: What?

Hikaru: Nothing.

Hikaru lifted his head to see multiple devil-like creatures heading towards them at rapid speed. Before Hikaru  could have any time to think,  he grabbed Mikan  by the hand and he began to run at an unbelievable speed. Mikan  looked back and saw the devil  like creatures. Paralyzed with fear she stopped in their tracks. Hikaru  lifted her and carried her in his arms. It  wasn't long until the creature slowly crept up behind them. One  of the monsters took a swing at Mikan,  missing her face but clawing out the hair ties from within her ponytails. Her hair was let loose and it flowed within the air. She  was so scared that she held onto Hikaru  with all the strength that she had left. Tears  fell out of her eyes and into the air as they got farther and farther away from the creatures. Soon, they saw a light, it was the end of the maze and they were thrilled to have been so close to being able to escape this treacherous and horrible nightmare. Once  they were out of the maze the ground beneath them shook and it seems like there were more cracks than before. They  suddenly fell into a deep blue ocean. The air had been yanked out from within Mikan’s lungs as it filled with water and she could no longer breathe. Hikaru  being unable to mov,e shut his eyes,  in fear that this could be the end. It  wasn't until he felt a light being shined upon him that he was finally able to move. He  swam as fast as he could towards Mikan. He grabbed her by the arm and swam up to the surface. Once  they had made it above the surface he had realized that they had been  drowning in a large cup of water poured by the giant himself. He  looked around trying to find a way to climb down, he noticed a cloud of dust sitting right beside the cup. He  realized that there was no choice but to jump from the cup carrying her in his arms and hoping that the cloud of dust would soften the fall. He placed  her on his shoulders and stood at the top of the cup. Hikaru  then jumped and landed right on top of the cloud of dust causing  for everything around them to be filled with dirty air. He  gently placed Mikan  on the cold hard ground that the giant lived upon. He  didn't know what to do but all he knew was that he didn't want to lose someone like he had in the past. It  is true that nobody knows about his past other than him but he knew that he didn't want someone else to live with the pain that he had gone through himself. He  quickly performed  CPR on Mikan. With every minute that passed by, the Giant's laugh grew louder  and quicker. It wasn't until a gasp of air was let out from her that he had let out a sigh of relief. The  giant was extremely upset and he stomped until rocks from the ceiling fell  to the floor and pieces hit the ground crumbling into smaller pieces. Many  small pieces of rock hit both HIkaru and Mikan. Each  one of them causing cuts and bruises  that they had never experienced before in their entire lives. Hikaru lifted Mikan  and he began to run into a small hole that soon led them out of the entire home of a giant. Although they were out, Hikaru  did not want to stop running in fear that the giant would soon catch up to them. He  soon realized that no one was after them, not the goblins nor the Giant. Although,  for some reason he couldn't stop running no matter what and no matter how many times Mikan told him to stop. It wasn’t until  they both heard the terrifying and painful... SNAP!!!
