I'm very sorry for the delay. I thought I would be able to update after my little holiday but unfortunately I couldn't. :( My internet decided to die on me and it started again for me on Valentine's day! So here is my late Valentine's Day gift to you all! :) Also 1.6k reads since my last update, two weeks ago, is amazing! So a major thank you to that!
ENJOY!
Carrie's POV
--------------------------------
After the collapsed lung I had a few more appointments with the same doctor and he said I should be fine but if it reoccurs we might have to worry. He also said no strenuous activities whilst giving Mason - who came with me to each appointment - a pointed look with Mason cracking up. I hadn't understood what the doctor meant until Mason explained it to me later, I refused to speak to him for the rest of the afternoon. Back to the present, well sort of, nothing has happened between Mason and I. Just more kisses. We haven't put a name on us or anything. I want to but I'm not sure about Mason. We've admitted that we love each other and still nothing except today. Mason said he had something special planned for today. He wouldn't tell me what we were doing and where we are going. It's frustrating as right now as I don't know what I should wear. I finally settle for a pair of dark blue capris, a light grey knit with a black shirt underneath and a pair of black Chuck Taylors. Happy with my outfit I walked down the stairs just in time for the doorbell to ring. Yay! He's here! Wow I sound like a typical love sick and clingy girl.
I open the door to see Mason holding a bouquet of white daisies and dandelions, and looking quite sheepish. "I stole the daisies from the neighbours and found the other little yellow flowers along the road," he tells me and I laugh.
"I'll just put them in some water. Feel free to come in and sit on the couch," I reply, taking the bouquet from him and going to the kitchen. I open the bottom left cabinet, grab a vase and fill it with water and the flowers. I set the vase on the dining room table and go into the living room. Mason stands immediately and smiles at me.
"Ready to go?" he asks and I nod. He leads me outside and I lock the door. We walk to his motorbike and he gets on with me following.
"Am I allowed to know now where you're taking me?" I ask and he shakes his head. I huff and wrap my arms around his waist as he turns the key for the ignition. After around half an hour he pulls up in an empty parking lot next to the beach. The sky grey and gloomy; the sea dark and stormy. Ha, lucky I'm wearing a jumper.
"Are you going to get up or just sit there all day?" I look up to see Mason smirking at me with his arms crossed, arms slightly bulging through the dark green long sleeve shirt he's wearing. "Or are you just going to stare at me all day instead?" He's wearing that sexy smirk and I can't help but glare at him. I hop off his bike and cross my arms. "Aw come on. I didn't mean it. Please forgive me." He pouts and blinks a few times.
"Yeah yeah now piss off," I laugh.
"Alright. Good luck finding your way home," he jokes.
"Ha you're funny," I roll my eyes. "C'mon let's go for a walk." He holds his hand out and I take it. He leads us to the beach entrance and onto the beach. After walking for a bit he asks me a question I didn't expect to hear.
