Carrie's POV

What Mason said to me really hurt. I thought he was actually genuine. Apparently not. That's why I told him to get out of my house and life. That's why I told him I hated him. It probably was a bit too far to tell him I hated him. Even telling him to get out of my life was a bit harsh. His face alone after telling him to get out caused me pain. Pain I thought not possible. I guess that's what love does to you. Wait, did I just say love? Sure I like him and everything. He's a great guy and very caring. Well, was a great guy and was caring. I don't understand why he would tell me what he said though. He would know that I'm emotionally fragile at the moment. So why would he tell me what he did? Especially since he took my first kiss. Maybe he was just joking around? Maybe he has his own secrets? No he definitely couldn't have his own secrets. Everyone knows a player starts somewhere and they don't usually have any other secrets. I'm starting to think he pushed me away for a reason and I will have to get to the bottom of that. Not now though. Maybe after my heart stops hurting? Yeah that sounds good but it might take a bit of time. Time I don't really have.

I decide to go downstairs and see my mum at the door. "Mum what are you looking at?" I ask her.

"Well I was just saying goodbye to Mason. He said he was leaving next week and he didn't know when he was going to be back," she answers me and my heart drops. He's leaving? Is this why he said what we were doing was weird and he didn't like it? Is this why he said we should stop? I don't have any answers to these questions as I look around mum to see Mason standing there with a pleading look on his face.

"Yeah well bye Karen," he says while giving a small smile. As he walks away I can feel my heart break into what feels like a million pieces. This will probably be the last time I ever see him. Now as he drives away my heart breaks even further and I rush out of the house to only end up seeing him turn the corner without even looking back. I sink to the ground, tears rushing down my face. He was my savior and now he's gone too. Memories of me cutting come back and I don't even have the will to stop them. He's gone and now the only person I have now is mum. The tears come faster and I feel mum wrap her arms around me.   

 "Sweetie it will be ok," she coos and I shake my head.

"No it won't be mum!" I cry out. "I acted like such a bitch to him and now I can't even apologise because he's gone!"

"C'mon sweetie let's go inside and I'll make you a hot chocolate, ok?" she says and I shake my head.

"No I don't want that!" I yell before picking myself up off the floor and begin running down the street. I continue running until I fall into a heap on the ground, not knowing where I am. I try to stand up but just fall onto the ground again. Black dots begin to cloud my vision and I begin to lose consciousness.
