Knock Knock
Ryan opens the door.
"Welcome" he greets "Nice choice of outfits."
"Thanks." I blush.
"I have knew he would like the dresses." I whisper.
"Whatever." She whispers."You guys look really hot." He says.
Oh my gosh! He just called us hot!
"Thanks." I smile.
"Oh, Sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant temperature wise, but I guess it works both ways. Did you walk?"
"Yeah." I blush.
"Don't you live like, 13 blocks away?" He asks.
"Oh, she actually lives twelv-" Aurora tries.
"I only live 2 blocks away." I smile, interrupting Aurora.Ryan looks at us weirdly, "Weird, I thought you lived-"
"Nope!" I yell, happily.
"Ok then. My mistake." He says "Oh, you're also wearing high heels."
"Yeah. Isn't everyone?" Aurora asks.
"No. Not exactly." He shakes his head.
"Oh." Aurora frowns."Follow me" Ryan orders.
Ryan leads us to his backyard, where everyone is in the pool.
"Welcome to my pool party! You dressed interestingly for it, but it's your choice." He smiles.
"Pool Party." Aurora whispers, angrily.
"Feel free to eat some snacks, but I suggest you don't get in the pool. Your dresses look expensive and you're wearing a lot of makeup." He walks over to some other people."Elle! This is a pool party!" Aurora yells.
"How was I suppose to know?" I snap.
"We look stupid! We always do! I'm sick and tired of looking stupid!" Aurora argues.
"We don't always look stupid." I lie "And at least we're here!"I cross my arms.
"I'm going to go get a snack." Aurora announces.
"Whatever!" I huff. It's been 30 minutes and I've been standing around, like a loser, while everyone else, except Aurora, hang out in the pool.
"Elle." Aurora whispers from behind me "I have something for you."
I turn around.
Aurora pours a small bowl of nachos down my dress.
"Oh my gosh Aurora!" I yell.
"Now we're even." She whispers.
Everyone looks at us.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Elle!" Aurora fake apologises, really loudly.I grab some nachos off me and I squish them into Aurora's hair.
"Gross!" She yells.
"That's what you get!" I yell.
Suddenly, Aurora tackles me to the ground. She has played tackle football for 5 years now, so she knows how to make it hurt, and it hurts."Girls! Cut it out!" Ryan yells.
We stand up, both covered in nacho's.
"What just happened!?" He asks, loudly.
"Nothing." I blush.
Everyone turns around and goes back to doing their own things.
"I think you should leave." Ryan suggests.
"Thanks for inviting us anyway." I say, as we leave. The walk home is more awkward than expected.
"I smell like nachos." Aurora complains.
"Me too." I complain.
We walk in silence."Why did you do that?" I ask.
"So that you'd get Ryan's attention. I didn't think you'd squish nachos onto my head." Aurora explains.
"Thanks for trying. I guess." I force a smile.I wonder how Mum will react when she sees me like this, seeing as I wasn't even allowed to go to the party.
Ryan hates me now, that's not good either. This sucks.
