Rhonda laid down in the bed thinking about Anthony.

She didn't want to fall too fast for him, she also didn't want to blame him for Bennie's mistakes.

Her phone lit up, with a text from Anthony .
It read "Good night beautiful, I enjoyed my time with you. Sleep well."

Rhonda blushed and responded "Goodnight , I enjoyed you also." And went to sleep.

She woke up refreshed and prepared for work.

She peeped in Lisa's room and walked in to wake her up.

"Wake up sleepy head, it's time for school!"

Lisa was just like her mother , beautiful and smart.
She had all good grades and reports from her teachers . Her peers loved her, well, most of them. She had this big beautiful smile and pretty long hair, just like her mother.

"Ok mom! I'm up" she said, rolling out of the bed.

"Come on, you're gonna be late !" Rhonda said, grabbing Lisa before she fell back on the bed.

"Do I have to go to school todayyyyy???"

"Yes you do. You have a rewards ceremony to attend later on anyway! Aren't you excited about what awards you're going to receive?" She said, trying to make her feel better about going to school, besides, she didn't have a baby sitter .

"Ooooookkkk!" She sighed and walked to the bathroom.

Rhonda already prepared breakfast.

Lisa walked out of the room ready for school.

Rhonda noticed she had on 2 different shoes .
"Lisa really?"

"What's wrong ?" She replied.
"You have on different shoes!" Rhonda replied laughing.

"Ohhhh, I'm sorry!" Lisa ran to ththe  back giggling .

"Hurry up before your bus gets here."

"Okkk!" She yelled from the bedroom.

Rhonda walked her to the bus stop and waited.

"Mom?" Lisa asked, looking up at her mother.

"Yes sweetie?"
"Is that guy you were with the other night your new boyfriend?"

Sigh " No, he's just my friend." Rhonda replied.

"Friends don't kiss mom."
"Really Lisa?"
"I'm just saying, I have a friend and I wouldn't dare kiss him . Eww!" She replied.

The bus finally pulled up and Rhonda was relieved.

"Bye sweetie, have fun at school!!" She kissed Lisa goodbye and walked off.

As she got in the car, she noticed she had a text message from Bennie.

It read "Does Lisa still have that ceremony today? If so , what time?"

"5:30"
"I'll be there!"

"Okie dokie!"

"How you been?"

She threw the phone down, put her seat belt on and drove off.

     -At Lisa's school-

Lisa was a smart girl, but she was constantly getting bullied about her dad not being around.

Every time they had " bring your parent to school" day, nobody but Rhonda showed up. And it was about that time again. Even though she was only 5 years old, she understood everything that was going on.

"Hey everybody, how are you guys today?" Said her teacher Miss Turner.

She began to pass out papers for the Bring your parents to School Day.
Lisa got hers and read it.

"Bring your parents to school day is coming up and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you guys parents . Are you excited!?"

"Yesss!!" Said the whole class, except Lisa.

Rhonda was having the best day at work. She was thinking about Anthony all day long.

"Hey girl, I see you having a good day today!" Said her coworker Amanda.

"Yes, I am ." She said, smiling.

"New man in your life!?"

"Not my man, he's just a friend."

"Well, looks like he's more than just a friend. Girl you are glowing. I haven't seen you this happy since......well never!" She said, laughing.

"I'm good!"
"Mmmmk" Amanda replied, waking off.

Rhonda checked her phone under the desk, looking around making sure no one was looking.
She had 3 missed calls from Bennie , a text from Anthony, and a call from Lisa's school.

Her lunch break came. She rushed out to call Lisa's school back .

"Water Crest Elementary?? This is Laura speaking ."

"Aww, yes maim this is Lisa's mother  and I had a missed call from the school."

"Oh, yes maim, we're gonna need you to come pick Lisa up ."

"What happened?? Is she sick!?"

"Um, she slapped a girl in the face!"

"She did what!??????" Rhonda yelled.

"She slapped a girl in the face maim."

"Did she say whyy???????" Rhonda asked, furiously.

"She won't talk to us maim. Just come and pick her up and we will talk about it."

"Ok, I'll be there in a few minutes!"

Since Rhonda had an hour break and Lisa's school was only a block away, she quickly jumped in the car and drove to the school.

She rushed in the school , pushing the door open .

"Hey, I'm here to pick up my daughter Lisa Davis."

"Ok, hold on."

She paced back and forward until Lisa came around the corner.

She ran to her mother crying.

"Oh my God Lisa what did you do!?"

"The girl was talking about my daddy!! She said he wasn't gonna show up on Bring your parents to School Day. I was tired of her picking on me mama!" She cried, with her arms around Rhonda.

Sigh

"Ok, I'll sign her out! But she has a ceremony to come to later on, can she still come?" Rhonda asked, looking up at the principal .

"Oh, yes maim, she still can come. She can return to school tomorrow also. I just needed her to go home to day so she could cool off because she was pretty angry."

"Oh, thank you so much Mrs. Howard."

"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow Lisa." She said, kneeling down to Lisa's height.

Rhonda looked at the time, "oh, I have to go!" She rushed out of the school and got in the car. 
Rhonda needed to find a baby sitter so she callled Shawny.

"Mom!? Lisa got in trouble at school , can you watch her her until i get off work?"

"Yea, sure, bring her on over.............
