***One month later***

Simon's gash had healed, my arm was just healing, Chris and Bella wanted to have a child. Everything was great, but the basement we stayed in was getting a bit cramped. I had heard Chris and Bella planning to relocate in the coming week.

Today was the day, the day we were packing up and moving. They gave me a backpack and a small duffle bag full of semi-clean clothing. Simon impatiently hopped up and down, I could tell he was excited too.

We hadn't been walking for long when Bella looked down and her eyes grew to the size of saucers.

"Chris!" She gasped.

Chris looked surprised too. What Bella had stepped on was a human hand!

Carefully Chris traced the arm back to its body, under some metal parts and what looked to be shingles. He searched the pockets and found a wallet.

"Alexandra King." He read aloud.

I had to double take. Alexandra King. The name sunk deep into my mind and I felt hot tears bubble down my cheeks.

"A-Alexandra K-King." I choked out around tears.

"Yes? Did you know her?" Bella questioned.

"She's my mom!" I ran over and hugged the body. I heard gasps echo around our crowd.

I stood up sniffling and wiping tears away from my eyes. I looked around a bit dazed to spot a flat sheet of metal and looked around more to spot some cable hanging off a charred post.

"Can w-we stop for a bit?"

"Sure, anything you want dear." Bella smiled.

"But we-" Bella cut Chris off.

"She just learned her mother died! Let her grieve!" Bella whisper-yelled at Chris.

Simon shoved some debris off an old car hood and made himself comfortable, Bella and Chris stood whispering to each other, nobody noticed I had pulled my mothers body on the metal sheet and attached the cable and other rope I had found.

"Lets go." I stood up and started pulling my sled. "She needs a proper burial."

Simon gave me a warm look, while Chris looked at me funny and Bella helped me pull the sled along. It slid easily over the debris littered ground.
