Can you hear, my heart beat? Tired of feeling, never enough. I, close my eyes and tell myself that my dreams will come tr- BAM!!! My phone falls to the ground, ripping my earbuds out of my ears. "Crap!" I mutter, picking my phone up off the ground. The screen cracked. Darn. At least its not completely shattered.
I look around and see that I'm right in front of the school. That was a lot quicker than I thought. I put my phone in my pocket and walk through the school gates. It's a rather beautiful school to be honest. Cherry trees scattered around the grounds with a big cracked cobblestone path leading from the gates to the front doors.
I walk through the doors and to the office. I ask the secretary, Ms. Thompson, for my locker number, combo, and schedule. Thank god all of my classes are close together. Sadly, my locker is on the other side of the school. Whatever, I could use the exercise. I attempt to maneuver through the sea of students to find my locker, a near-impossible task it seemed.
After a few seconds of chaos I find my baby blue locker and shove my way out of the crowd. Catching my breath, I put in my locker combo and open up my locker. I put my bag in after taking out the textbook and notebook I need for class. I walk all the way back across the school to my Algebra class. I walk in, greeted by the teacher with a nod. I walk to the back corner, dropping my books on my desk and sitting down. With a sigh, I open to the page written on the board and open my notebook to the first page. A boring start to a boring year.
× × ×
Boy was I wrong. Yeah, it was a usual boring school day for the first 3 classes, but in my 4th class I got partnered up with someone for the year. As I don't know anybody yet, and I tend to keep to myself anyways, I had no idea who Dan Howell was. Little did I know he was going to be the best and worst thing that ever happened to me.
A/N - Sorry its so short, that just seemed like a good place to end off the first chapter. I will try to get another chapter out soon. Could ya please let me know what you thought? I don't care if you are reading this after the entire book is finished, if you have any constructive criticism please leave a comment. Thank you!
