CHAPTER FIVE.
A DAY TO REMEMBER|
The ceremony of Bill and Fleur Weasley was very beautiful. The bride had worn a beautiful dress, Mrs. Weasley had burst into tears many times, and everything was magnificent. Rosalie, though, couldn't seem to enjoy the wedding. Her mind still wrapped around the journal that Dumbledore had left her. Why would he leave that for her? Half of it was missing, pages weren't complete, and she couldn't get a full story out of any of the entries. It seemed like he had erased his memories along with his journal.
The reception as well was very beautiful. Everything was white, everything was pristine, and still Rosalie had gotten chills when she walked inside the tent. It was so beautiful and elegant, lively and fun. Happiness fluttering around it. The Weasleys were so different, but she couldn't help but think about the Malfoy manor. It too was pristine and kept well, everything orderly and nice. Though, it was much duller, and had an eerie feeling of death and destruction.
She found herself alone as Ginny went to dance with her brothers and no one dared go near Rosalie. So, she found herself wandering around the tent aimlessly before she found Luna Lovegood. The Ravenclaw had always been nice to her, going to see the thestrals with her whenever Rosalie found herself stressed with the work that Voldemort had put on her.
"Hello, Luna," she greeted with a small smile, "Mr. Lovegood."
Luna smiled back at the Gryffindor girl, "Daddy, this is Rosalie. She's another friend of mine."
Rosalie couldn't help but let her heart swell at the words. She hadn't had a friend in such a long time, and it was nice that Luna considered them friends.
"I didn't know you were close with the Weasleys," Luna spoke, her eyes staring into Rosalie's.
"I'm not," she shook her head, "Though, they have allowed me to stay at their house this summer. That's why I'm here."
Luna smiled kindly with that. "That's very nice of them. I would love it if you stayed a summer at my house. It gets very lonely there when daddy has to work."
Rosalie smiled. Luna was very nice to her, and she really had friends to go home with. Never once had she had a proper sleepover, and Luna was so nice for suggesting it.
"Definitely," Rosalie agreed, "Though, maybe another summer. I don't think the Weasleys would really want me to leave."
Luna simply nodded, grabbing her father's arm and taking him to the dance floor. Rosalie stood where they once spoke, shaking her head before walking away. She couldn't believe she agreed. It wouldn't work, the war would come sooner. And no matter the outcome, she would be hated, especially if Voldemort lost – which she wanted so badly.
Everyone would hate Rosalie after they learned her secret. She would be shunned, locked away from society as they saw the mark on her arm, cursing her. Rosalie wouldn't have any friends then, and she would never experience a sleepover or find someone to love. No one would want a Death Eater besides another Death Eater. And she couldn't find herself to like any of them either.
She found herself near Harry, the last person she really wanted to see. Still, Rosalie gave him a smile, seeing as she thought it would be best if she tried to be friendly with him
"Hello," she tried to make light conversation, thinking it to be the best idea. It had been a long time since she had a light conversation. Most of them at the time were about something big and important, nothing about how someone was feeling.
