Trapped in a mall, with a HOT guy for FOUR days, over Xmas!?!
*** Recap***
I stood up and began walking towards the door,
"Well we can at least try it," It's something to do and you never know we might get lucky.
We walked out of the shop, down the steps to the bottom floor and were just passing the front doors when,
"Stop right there!"
Chapter 22
My body froze in mid-step, literally my right foot was floating in mid air, and all my bones locked together in fear. My heart rate went through the roof, my breathing was erratic. I was made of stone.
"About bloody time do you realise how long I have been looking for you? How long I have been waiting for this moment?" The voice was one I had never heard before, but yet it felt like I always have.
It was him, I knew it the second I heard it, the feeling his voice gave me was terrifying. I knew this could be bad but it made me feel like it was a disaster, like something terrible was about to happen and that frightened me more than anything else ever could. Words could not describe how utterly terrified I was at this moment.
Out of the very corner of my eye I could see someone beginning to emerge out of the darkness down one of the halls.
I began to panic, my heart was beating so fast it hurt, I were breathing so much air in my lungs could barely hold it all, my head began to throb and my eye sight began to blur. This is bad, this is very bad. I didn't know where Ash was and at this moment, for the first time since I found out that there was a crazy psycho wandering about the place, I wish he wasn't with me.
It was him, I could just feel it, I didn't need confirmation I could just feel it, it was him, he was coming. He was coming and there were no way to escape this time, our luck had officially run out.
He stepped over the line and was now in enough light that we could see him properly, he was exactly how I remember him, same black shirt, a little dirtier maybe, same chest muscles almost ripping their way out of his shirt, tight at the top but loose at the bottom. Same stained baggy blue trousers, but they looked worse than they did before and now had an even bigger hole at the knees. Same scuffed up pair of once expensive trainers, same army sergeant posture same short scruffy short black hair and the same face, bewitched by anger and fury.
His teeth were clapped shut, eyes like blue lasers, death grip on the gun and eyes never leaving one spot... the spot where Ash stood, behind me and a little to the left.
"W-wha-what do y-you want?" My voice came out all shaky and quiet, stuttering with fear. He turned his eyes to me, he still looked angry and pissed off but he didn't look quite as angry and pissed off as he did when he looked at Ash.
"What do I want?" He asked his voice harsh and menacing but it sounded like he tried to sugar coat it, as if he didn't want to frighten me. "I WANT TO KILL THIS- THIS," He turned his gaze back to a petrified Ash frozen in place. "THIS EVIL SON OF A BASTARD! I WANT- NO NEED PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THE PAIN I WENT THROUGH! WHAT I LOST, HOW MY LIFE WAS DESTROYED!"
Each and every word had so much emotion behind them, so much pain and sorrow it hurt. Even though he had scared me half to death, inflicted pain on me, injured me, threatened the man I loved... I felt sorry for him.
"I..." I was going to say 'I'm sorry', but I remembered how people in this situation despised that, how they hated people pitting them. "I don't know what to say..."
He adverted his eyes back to me his eyes were cold and hard yet there was so much trapped inside. His eyes were a dark shade of blue and they glistened with the tears he obviously was fighting to keep from falling. In those deep blue stone eyes, a story was held, a very true story and a very sad one. He spoke very quiet, fairly soft and in an understanding kind of way.
